Went here for a rehearsal dinner before a wedding. Had a great time.

Atmosphere was fun, lively.

Quality of the food wasn't bad, wasn't anything to write home about either. Nothing burned, nothing I can't live without having again.

Service was fine, considering we came in on a Friday night with a party of 30-35 people. Did a great job getting all of our beer orders in and with the food prep as well.

Selection was amazing! 300+ beers available supposedly. I didn't make sure they were all there, because I was too busy enjoying the place.

All I had to pay for were the drinks I consumed. Great value for me! Parents of the groom, maybe not so much.

All in all, had a great time, looking forward to going back.

My wife and I stopped in this place after it was recommened by locals. Great atmospehere with separate entrance for dining or brew pub. All connected on the inside. Greeted by friendly staff we obtained a beer list. HUGE LIST: 150+ beers on the beer list and about 15-20 on tap. The beer lists includes brief descriptions of each beer and is great for someone whos new to craft beer. We shared a steak that had a wonderful flavor and the appetizers looked very appealing. So if your ever in the Kalamazoo area I must recommend this place.

My wife and I stopped in here one afternoon with some friends. Being from out of town we thought it looked interesting. When we walked in, only the pub area was available, and we sat ourselves. The wait staff took forever to get to us. When we finally ordered our drinks, it took forever for them to bring them to our table. They were not terribly busy, and there was multiple wait staff. The whole time we were there, the bartender seemed to not care and spent time rolling flatware even after drink orders were brought to her. It wasn't just us either, we noticed other patrons having the same issue.

We all ordered off of their Irish influenced menu. All four of us sampled the others meal, and it was all fantastic. The Irish Meatloaf was phenomenal!

Their beer selection was incredible! they had to have a selection of over 150 beers. Of course two of the ones I ordered they were sold out of. The prices on some of there beers was hard to justify. I understand they are out to make money, but one of the beers I tried was $10.90 a bottle. For some people this may not be bad, but I'm not accustomed to paying that much for a beer. Their menu had two sections. One was just listing the beers by country and the other had the prices. If you are on a limited budget, make sure you check the price list before you order. My wife and I had over a $100.00 tab for three beers apiece and two $12.00 entrees.

Gallagher's is a pleasant pub, but what sets this pub apart from others is their beer selection. They typically have around 140-150 different bottled beers to choose from with another 15ish on tap. In Kalamazoo that is among the best, if not the best. They usually have some sort of special every night, Monday night being the favorite...half off bottles under twelve dollars. When I lived in Michigan, Monday was a weekly tradition here. They also have a beer society which encourages you to try 125 different beers. There is a renewal fee every year, but you can buy a mug at the end which will get you a great deal on draft beer anytime. The biggest downside to their beer is that they easily run out of one thing or another. It seemed as though I was always asking for something they were out of.

The food is nothing to brag about. I have tried several different things and they aren't bad, they just don't stand out. I am a burger fan and I was rather let down by their burgers so I tried other things which were alright.

Since I was a frequent attender due to the beer society, I got to know the bartenders, waitresses and managers. They knew me by name, but it did take a while. They have new waitresses on a pretty regular basis and you can see them struggle through their work. The service is usually pretty good, depending on the waitress.

Overall, this is one of my favorites in town, especially on a Monday.

Traditional Irish-American pub style. Fun environment with plenty of entertainment. Service is decent. When I say decent, I mean for the average beer drinker. After patiently waiting what seemed like forever for my Delirium Tremens, my server brought it out to me along with a frosted pint. I politely refused the offer and asked for a tulip or a snifter. She looked at me like I was speaking a different language.

With over 180 different brews, not including 30 draught selections, Gallagher's has a better selection of anywhere I've seen in Kalamazoo County. A wide selection of USA Micro, Macro, and Michigan Micro, as well as great brews from around the world.

Price wise, i'd say: slightly above average. Although with a selection like that, it's almost worth it.
