Give yourself over to ultimate pleasure. Black, smooth, silky. The decadent flavors from roasted malts like caramel, chocolate, and coffee. Enhance with the allure of rye whiskey barrel-aging. A voluptuous pleasure.

2-3 years old. Poured a very dark brown, very little carbonation, however it left a nice oily residue on the glass. Mildly boozy aroma, hints of cocoa and ash. Moderate whiskey notes, some chocolate, coffee and toffee. Very creamy texture. I'd love to see this again.

Look is dark black with a small tan head that lasted a good amount
Smell of rye whiskey and wood, with chocolate and molasses. Also getting a hint of vanilla on the end. Also has a overall scent of booze.
Very nice mix of flavors here with nothing over-powering. I thought from the smell that the whiskey would dominate but that is not the case. Getting oak and whiskey with chocolate, toffee and a hint of vanilla.
Feel light bodied and smooth, has a nice creamy feel (why I love oatmeal stouts) with a nice carb balance.
Overall I am really enjoying this beer at the moment and think it is a great example of a oatmeal stout.

Viscous black with a short but dense tan foam that dies to nothing but can be swirled back to life for a short while.

Smell is peppery and spicy, with some cola, charred wood, whiskey, molasses and nutty roast.

Taste is nutty and roasty, nearing peanut butter with chocolate, complemented but not taken over by light wood and bourbon notes. A bit of a cola note keeps this from not being a full on, big boy stout, but it's pretty close. Some raisin, cigarette ash and acidic-like coffee emerge as it warms.

Feel is medium bodied with a soft carbonation and dry finish. It thins out, oddly enough, as it warms.

On tap at Bartels & Co in Monroe, WI on 7/29/17. Review from notes. Appears mostly black. Smells and tastes of sweet caramel, cocoa, roasted malt, rye barrel, and dark fruit; below average intensity. Pretty sweet with a mild bitterness/dryness. Higher carbonation and below average body for the style. Overall, it's a decent stout but could use more intensity and rye bitterness for balance.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Speiglau barrel aged glass.

Look is pitch black with a tan half.

A little burn from the alcohol on the nose, but with a nice vanilla roasty note at the end.

Lots of whiskey in the taste like having a shot with a Guinness. delicious.

12 oz bottle was poured into a shifter.

Appearance: A one finger mocha head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pitch black color with no vision of anything. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Vanilla, roasted, milk chocolate, toffee, some booze, and caramel.

Taste: Silky, creamy, vanilla, toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, slight booze, and delicious.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, light bodied, creamy, light bitterness, medium carbonation, some booze, and a little chewy.

Overall: Nice barrel aged imperial stout. Good, but a little more body and barrel flavor would be good.

Pours a dark brown color with an inch of light tan head and moderate carbonation evident.
Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, toffee and caramel, roasted malts. Taste has some cherries and dark fruits. Coffee is light, more whiskey in the taste than nose. Nuts in the nose too. Thick full body and moderate carbonation; a little less, carbonation and it'd be perfect.

Overall a strong but tasty BA stout. If you big their BGW series stouts this is another winner.
