12 ounce bottle into a pint glass
A - A rigorous pour delivers a reddish orange body that is completely translucent. Slight amount of carbonation is visibly racing up towards the head that was about a finger thick before fading to a solid half finger head that doesn't appear to be going anywhere any time soon. Very nice looking beer.
S - Simply bringing your nose near the glass gives you the piney citrus notes that you would expect from this beer. Caramel malts are present but not as pronounced as the hop aspect, which is kind of disappointing. However, I don't seem to catch much bitterness from the smell so lets hope that continues.
T - Plenty of hops with the typical piney citrus notes that you would expect. Caramel malts are present but seem off in the sense that there is too much sweetness combining with the citrus and piney aspects of the hop profile. As the beer warms this seems to mellow out a bit more, but it is something to note.
M - Medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Entering the mouth plenty of hops take over as pines and citrus coat your mouth before sliding into caramel malts. Carbonation arrives to bring things together. A slightly boozy and bitter finish makes it hard to give this a higher score.
D - This is a decent DIPA but the hops don't mesh as well with the sweet aspects of this beer. If this beer could smooth out a bit (maybe some cellar time?) I think the bitterness would die down and this would be a bit more enjoyable. Still worth a try.

Hop Whore pours a reddish color with a small but lacing head. There is a very harsh earthy aroma; some harsh hop. The taste has a large harsh hop flavor, strong earthy flavors. Strong flavors, good body, a bit harsh, but surprising drinkable. Overall its good but not my favorite.
