A - Light tan head, moderate, with a clear orange, brown body.

S - Primarily floral hop notes, a touch of lemon, and a strong malty core.

T - Follow the nose, with a honey hint, with a strong bitter kick in the close.

M - Crunchy and full, but only mild drying.

O - I suspect a slightly older bottle, but still a pleasant hoppy brew.

Pours a vibrant, amber color with a a beautiful mound of sudsy, off-white foam. Fluffly patches of lacing adorn the glass as the head recedes. Sweet aroma smells of bready malt, peaches, pineapple, and pine resin. Hints of alcohol are also present in the nose.

The taste is a balanced blend of sweet, biscuity malt and tropical fruit. The hop bitterness is very muted, which leads me to believe this may have exceeded its optimum shelf life. That’s no great loss to me though since I’m not a hop maven to begin with. The mouthfeel is somewhat conflicted--tingly up front, but flat through the middle before resuscitating a bit on the back end. The medium body is appropriate, lending substance without diminishing drinkability.

Overall, this a is a gorgeous looking IPA that doesn’t clobber you with bitterness. If the mouthfeel was a little tighter, I would really be enjoying this. I’m not sure this bottle was putting its best foot forward, but it was still good regardless.

Pours a reddish-caramel color with a small, and not enduring, white head.
Smell is a good blend of malt, caramel, hops, and wood.
Taste is better still with malt slightly eclipsed by the fruity/herbal hops and caramel malt playing backup. Well done avoiding the hop bomb while still hitting the double.
Medium bodied, medium effervescence. Nicely drying from the middle on through the reasonably clean finish. Good stuff.

Pours deep copper with a lasting head. Lacing sticks.

The smell is of pine/resin, floral notes, perfume and some citric/tropical fruits. Caramel comes through.

The taste is of pine/resin with some citric fruits. It has a firm caramel backing.

Chewy and full-bodied but not thick.

This is an enjoyable, hoppy, but balanced, DIPA!
