Another nice IPA from Tyranena, which is pretty well known for its IPAs and porters. Slightly more coppery than amber and brilliantly clear. Nice tightly packed off white head reached two fingers in height before gradually receding. Leaves a few intricate and sticky webs of lace, but most of the sheets make their way back into the beer.
Im really enjoying the nose on this one. Orange marmalade with a touch of grapefruit and pine make up the dominant aromas. Some honey like malt sweetness is also apparent with a kiss of caramel.
Orange marmalade is the dominant flavour as well, along with some lightly toasted bready notes and a dab of honey and caramel. Ruby red grapefruit and a needle or two of pine also present.
This brew works for me, the bitter citrus from the peel is nicely balanced by the residual malt sweetness, and plays nicely into the hops. Almost medium bodied with a slightly creamy feel.
Pretty drinkable, although my palate would tire after two or three of these tasty brews. Highly recommended to fans of hops and marmalade, although if you prefer neither or only one of the two its probably best to steer clear of this one. It would be nice if the ABV made the label, a slight alcohol warmth does reveal itself, but at this point certainly is not affecting the drinkability, although it may be substantial enough to prevent sessioning.

Another gift from a friend that make an annual pilgrimage to WI.
A: A light cooper colored beer with an orange hue. Produces a good head stand on pour. The off-white head is made of cream bubbles with a decent retention time when given a somewhat aggressive pour.
S: A medium strength aroma of crystal malt and citrus hops. There is a moderate fruit ester and a faint diacetyl making me think the yeast is more English than American.
T: A medium-strong citrus hops flavor and a medium-strong hops bitterness along with a medium malt sweetness dominate. There is a far amount of orange esters that seem part hop part yeast derived. The balance is fairly bitter. The finish is off-dry with an aftertaste of oranges and hops bitterness.
M: A medium bodied beer with a medium-strong carbonation. Medium creaminess.
O: A decent IPA with a good balance of hops and malts hat isn't overly bitter, not that it would be bad thing. There
