12oz bottle poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass.
A - Pours a perfectly clear, deep amber. Thin half finger, white head appears and disappears quickly leaving a collar around the glass and small islands of bubbles on the surface.
S - Malty, spicy, citrusy. Good amount of citrusy aromas, mainly orange and lemons and fruity hops. Malty sweetness balances this one very well.
T - Spicy and bitter. Doesn't seem to match the aroma. Bitterness is somewhat heavy and harsh, different hop profile here - not really sure what they are using. There is an unidentifiable fuitiness throughout, with citrus on top - grapefruit, orange, limes. Some bready malt in the background. The bitterness in this is really pervasive - cuts through everything and lingers a long time.
M - Mouthfeel is full - thick and chewy. Good, medium level of carbonation rounds out the fullness of this one.
D - I am definitely a hoppy IPA guy, but this one is a little rough for me. The hop profile isn't working - too harsh - not so much flavor, just heavy bitterness. The harshness makes it difficult to drink at a good pace - more of a sipper for me, but I think one of these will do it for me - onto something else.

Another gift from a friend that make an annual pilgrimage to WI.
A: A light cooper colored beer with an orange hue. Produces a good head stand on pour. The off-white head is made of cream bubbles with a decent retention time when given a somewhat aggressive pour.
S: A medium strength aroma of crystal malt and citrus hops. There is a moderate fruit ester and a faint diacetyl making me think the yeast is more English than American.
T: A medium-strong citrus hops flavor and a medium-strong hops bitterness along with a medium malt sweetness dominate. There is a far amount of orange esters that seem part hop part yeast derived. The balance is fairly bitter. The finish is off-dry with an aftertaste of oranges and hops bitterness.
M: A medium bodied beer with a medium-strong carbonation. Medium creaminess.
O: A decent IPA with a good balance of hops and malts hat isn't overly bitter, not that it would be bad thing. There
