Poured from a 12 oz (355m l) bottle into a Sam Adam's Perfect Pint glass (June 22, 2010). "BOTTLED ON 02MAR11" is stamped onto the neck of the bottle.
Eyes: Pours a slightly dark orange/amber. A generous pour produces a finger and a half of head, which laces moderately well.
Nose: Less potent than expected from an IPA, but nicely delivered. Slightly earthy, dry grapefruit, a modest grassy note. I just had Tyranena's other IPA scurvy and like Scurvy the nose seems to be muted but complex.
Tongue: The milder aroma belies the great flavor here. Ciitrus and sweet fruits abound, mild caramel with just enough bitterness.
Mouth: This is a smooth, silky beer with mild carbonation to carry the syrupy consistency.
Libation: This Bitter woman is very fruity with just enough bitterness to abate the sweetness and just enough carbonation to cut the thickness. Well balanced for one of the more fruity IPAs out there, a very complex for a beer with 5.75% ABV.
