Thanks Bobby for sharing.

A: The pour is a clear, dark, amber color with very minimal head formation, just a thin ring of tan head.

S: A lot of great spice smells that are certainly reminiscent of pumpkin pie. Good nutmeg and cinnamon as well as some actual pumpkin.

T: Nutmeg, cinnamon, and all spice start this one off providing an almost liquid pumpkin pie flavor. Good sweet and starchy pumpkin character, too.

M: The body is medium with a low to medium carbonation and a fairly smooth mouthfeel overall.

D: One of the best pumpkin beers I had this year (or ever, I suppose). Tyranena makes another good beer.

Poured into a tulip glass. Light foam that dissipates to a ring almost instantly. Very good looking clear burnt orange color. The scent is heavy pumpkin spice and biscuit. The taste is heavy spice, sweet, malty with light pumpkin. medium mouth feel with nice carbonation. This is one of my favorite pumpkin ales. I could drink a few which is rare for pumpkin ales. Highly recommended.

A- orange, amber, hue of tan. nice fluffy 1 finger head, great lacing.

S- clove, pumpkin, cinnamon, all spice, malt.

T- fresh pumpkin, cloves, sweet pie taste, hint of bitter finish.

S- medium body, good carbonation, very smooth for just sweetness.

D- Excellent pumpkin beer! This has become one of our favorite Autumn beers. If you like Tyranena or Pumpkin beers, check it out.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber color, with about a 2 finger, off-white colored head that slowly recedes to a bubbly ring.

The aroma is that of a nice brown ale, what with the nuttiness and mild, yeasty bread aromas, mixed with your typical pumpkin spices. The key, however, being that no one spice outshines the others, and most importantly the spices don't ruin the overall beery impression. Delve a little deeper and you can even find some nice caramels and maybe even a touch of vanilla..

The flavor is quite similar to the aroma, with the bulk of flavors consisting of a well rounded, malty beer, caramels and a touch of breadiness, but the pumpkin spices are there, but they are delicately placed and absolutely do nothing but compliment the overall character of the beer, rather than overpower, as is so often the case with pumpkin beers.

This has got to be one of my favorite pumpkin beers. They are so easy to screw up, where the beer becomes little more than a vehicle to deliver "pumpkin spices," ultimately becoming overpowering and unbalanced. Tyranena hit the perfect note of balance with this beer, as far as I'm concerned.

Poured from 12oz bottle. Very glad to try this one out!

A- Poured a amberish coppery orange color if that makes sense. One finger off white head that shows light retention. No real lacing on the sides of the glass.

S- This is pretty much spot on for a pumpkin pie. Lots of nutmeg with a hint of cinnamon. Crusty grain aroma blends well with a balance of pumpkin. Overall not too spice forward and vice versa. A great smelling pumpkin ale.

T- Spice forward from the first sip. Nutmeg and some light notes of cinnamon with allspice as well. There is a sweet caramel malt base to this that works well with the flavor overall. Pumpkin highlights blend almost perfect with the malt base. I can taste hints of pie crust but I just may want to think that with the flavor of this beer.

M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Spices left on the palate with light caramel malts. Aftertaste is pumpkin forward with light spicing and a touch of alcohol. Flavors were well blended overall for the beer. Alcohol had medium drying on the palate. Clean and crisp tasting throughout.

D- A sixer please?? This beer was fantastic and to be honest I would love to drink this one year around. A highlight in the pumpkin quest I have given myself this year. Looking forward to this beer next year and the years to come.

Appearance - Light amber. Slight haze. Medium off white head that quickly dissipates.

Smell - Sweet spicy (pumpkin pie spicy) malt. Nutmeg seems pretty prominent. Appetizing if a bit sweet-smelling for a beer.

Taste - Sweet malt backed by ample spice. Pumpkin is very apparent as is the spice mix. I'm getting mostly nutmeg and/or cloves.

Mouthfeel - Medium.

Drinkability - Better than I expected, but I wouldn't drink these all year even if I could. It's a nice special occasion beer that nicely evokes the Halloween-Thanksgiving time of year. I wouldn't expect less from one of Wisconsin's best breweries.

After reading about Painted Ladies Pumpkin spiced Ale on beer advocate. com. I went looking for it at some stores I knew carried Tyranena Brewing Co. brews. Finally found one of the seasonal six packs this month, January 2010. It was worth the search, I have always enjoyed Tyranenas products and was not disappointed. Hard pour gave it a nice head and some nice lacing and bronze color. The taste of clove, pumpkin and brown sugar hit me first followed by a nice warming feel. Although it would have been nice to have after a day of raking leaves, this spicy brew tastes just as well on a cold winter night.

This is one of the better pumpkin Spice beers I've had. From a properly chilled bottle and and aggressive pour, I got a small, off white head that quickly settled to a ring and no lace. Color is a lovely, clear orange copper amber with a few tiny bubble trails. Aroma is pumpkin, spice, malt, caramel, toffee. Flavor is much like nose with perfect carbonic tang and hop bitterness to offset the muscle of the pumpkin, spice, and malt. Body and carbonation are good. Finsih is like flavor and only the hint of a suggestion of alcohol at the end. Nice. I could actually have another of this one and normally, I can't abide the style.

Coppery body with a light tan head that produces some decent lace.

Great scents of sweet pumpkin, pie crust, brown sugar and lots of pumpkin pie spice.

The taste matches the nose well. Very tasty. Like pumpkin pie with a slightly larger spice presence. Getting some pie crust notes as well.

Medium bodied and very smooth.

I would put this in my top two or three pumpkin beers. This one is done very well and is really little known to the masses. Seek this one out!

Body is a dark amber shade capped with a fluffy white head that settles into a foamy mass similar to a pint of Guinness. Good retention and great overall appearance. Aroma carries bold spices: heavy on nutmeg, with cinnamon, cloves and ginger, as well as some sweet amber malt in the background.

As in aroma, the flavor is very spice dominant and the pumpkin pretty subtle. Definitely on the sweeter side, but not sickeningly so like some pumpkin beers. Malt is not very distinctive, but holds things together nicely. Mouthfeel is full and sticky, drying out toward the finish leaving lingering woody spice. Carbonation is medium to heavy, but not excessive.

The pethora of spices in this one make it more of a sipper than a swigger. I'm pretty neutral on pumpkin beers, but this is one of the few I make an effort to purchase. It seems to hit the right spices pretty hard without tasting terribly artificial.

Pours a deep, clear orange color with a small eggshell white head with short retention time.

Scent of pumpkin, cinnamon, brown sugar, light spices and some candy. Very nice balance here, nothing is out of proportion or overly strong.

Taste of pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, spices and sweet candy. A little more potent than the scent, but the balance is still there. One of the better pumpkin beers available.

Mouthfeel medium bodied and clean with a good amount of carbonation.

Purchased from Discount Liquor in Milwaukee, WI. Pours a hazy reddish orange with a thin off-white head. The aroma is spot on for a pumpkin pie. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavors of spicy malt and pumpkin pie spices that last far into the finish. Great drinkability.

Autumnal orange/red with a half inch of khaki creamy bubbles on top. Lots of active carbonation. Looks good in the glass. Aromas of smooth amber malts with a slight nutty / caramel accent. Pumpkin meat, cinnamon and ginger upfront with a nice dose of nutmeg as well. Quite spicy but not overly so.

First sip is smooth caramel and slightly nutty malts. Vegetal pumpkin meat with a nice balance of spice. Cinnamon, nutmeg and spicy ginger as it rolls down. There is enough malt to balance it out though for me. Lingering pumpkin spice on the finish. Tasty fall brew.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied - smooth - creamy - easy drinking. I enjoyed this pumpkin ale and was glad to see it bottled this year. Maybe a bit spicy for some but worked well for me. I will hope to see it again next year!

Clear darkly rustic amber with a small capping of off-white foam that sits foamy & softly and disappears thusly as so. A few thicker strings and some spots of lace stick to the glass.

Aroma is quite nice with a nice pie crust element of graham cracker and cream sit in nicely with a nosey touch of baked pumpkin bread with pinches of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Taste is mildly tangy of some chewy breadish malt laced with some lighter factions of the pumpkin that sits and sips quite close to a Doppelbock. Some notions of cream sink into the middle with its malt and pumpkin flavors as pie crust dusts off the finish with a light featheryness that lends a simple float into hinted cookie and bread spices of cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg.

The body has a nice crisp grab to it while maintaining a fairly solid maltyness that secures a bold mediumness as it balances the flavors out for a well developed drinking experience.

Once it warms up some it gets quite nice and certain complexities arise towards the backend. A very nice Autumn treat by Tyranena.

Jarrod, a local beer fanatic, brought over a bottle to share with my husband and I.

Appearance is clear yellow/red with a white head, this was in sample glasses, so I can't evaluate the head overmuch.

The scent is absolutely heady - like beery incense. Pumpkin, cinnamon, with a little after-whiff of ginger. Mmm!

The taste delivers on the scent - a lovely pumpkin/ginger/clove/cinnamon and pumpkinny taste that ends sweet and clovey. Maybe slightly too much clove for my taste, but clove oils tend to predominate for me when they're in a beer. Not 'too sweet' for a pumpkin ale. Very lovely!

Higher carbonation carries the spices through very well for me. A nicely done pumpkin/spice ale, definitely delivers through on the name.

12 oz. bottle poured into pint glass.

A: Cloudy orange/brown liquid. Thick light brown head that lasts for a long while. Looks kind of like apple cider.

S: Smells like a creamy pumpkin pie....very very nice. Lots of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of ginger.

T: The pumpkin is a bit more toned-down in the taste. The pumpkin is very apparent up front, but it gives way to cinnamon and nutmeg. There is also a strong malt taste near the end of the drink, too. The amber ale really shines through. The pumpkin spices accompany the beer taste instead of completely overpowering it.

M: Really, REALLY smooth. Medium body....goes down way too easy for a 7.5% beer.

O: My second favorite pumpkin beer (behind the all-mighty Whole Hog.) This one is kind of a like a pumpkin/amber ale shandy. The beer comes through a lot more than other pumpkin beers, which I consider a good thing. This beer is a perfect beer for crisp, cool, clear autumn nights.
