good IPA, not much different than the One Shot IPA that they do though.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of lemons, wheat. Taste is lemons, soap, hay, some herbal notes, dry at the finish. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall, not horrible, but one I won't need to drink again.

I got a White IPA from a Stevens Point Mix Pack I bought at Meijer. The Sorachi Ace hops are very interesting. This is probably the second beer that I have had that has this hop. It poured a clear yellow with thin almost non-existent head that is not lacing. The scent is floral is nature. The taste has a hint of grapefruit and a potpourri like spice. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its interesting and worth a try. I liked the Spruce Tip and One Shot better than this one.

maybe people dont love sorachi ace hops as much as i do, but this is awesome beer if you like them. finally a white ipa that simply means its wheat based, not belgian and loaded with orange and coriander but just hopped up. the wheat base is rich and creamy, and the hops are amazing. there is a real lemon oil presence in the nose, hints of vanilla and breakfast bread, tempting and delicious. the flavor is as true to the hop as can be. i love sorachi ace so much, surprised really that its not a more regular part of the american ipa lexicon, nobody uses it. with the wheat here its amazing, buttery soft and creamy in feel, with a pillowy and expansive softness, but a cutting citrus flavor rounded out by a mild sweetness that would be out of place in any other beer but this one. i havent had a lot of beer from these guys, but this was easily my favorite ipa in their ipa mixed box (a great idea by the way). we need more of these hoppy wheats that arent trying to be some weird reincarnation of a wit. yummy and drinkable beyond belief. i could have had ten of these. a great expression of my favorite hop!

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear light gold color with a small white head. The aroma has a strong fruit aroma with some piney hops. The taste is big on grain with some fruit tossed in. An average IPA.

Pours a hazy, gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of pale malt, slight sweet malt, piney hops, and slight citrus hops. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is also an associated warmth/heat to this brew. Tastes of sweet malt, hint of pale malt, floral hops, hint of citrus hops, slight peppery/spiciness, and a hint of herbal notes.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle.
A: Pours a crystal clear light golden color with lots of lively bubbly carbonation. Head is an inch and a half of foamy white color that retains quite well, and leaves behind a little lacing.
S: Aromas of citrus especially lemon, and orange. Then you find aromas of cracker like malts, sweet tea, some earthiness, and some pine/grass aromas from the hops.
T: Flavors of sweet grains, green tea, and lemongrass initially. Then you get some cracker like malts, earthy grass notes, pine like hop flavors, grapefruit, and coconut. Finishes with a nice bitter hop flavor/spiciness that leaves a pleasant citrus aftertaste.
M: Light bodied, highly carbonated, very crisp and smooth. Very light and easy drinking, very refreshing and perfect for a warm day.
O: A very solid take on a White IPA. I am usually very critical on the style and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this brew. The Sorachi Ace hops really shine through in this beer in a pleasant way. I was impressed by the aromas and flavors of this beer. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a outside the box choice for a great crisp easy drinking brew.
