This was a very good Oktoberfest beer in my opinion. The taste and the smell of this beer was very good. It gave me a sense of what an Oktoberfest beer should be. The appearance of the beer was a brownish color, which was also very pleasing to the eye as well. I will surely drink this beer again in the fall months. It was a good beer for that time of the year.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a small mug. There is no freshness date ABV or description other that its style.

Appearance: The body has a deep orange amber color with good clarity and lots of visible carbonation. From the aggressive pour I got a 1 inch collar of beige foam. This head quickly settles down to thin light layer. Lacing on the glass is spotty and slick.

Smell: There is not much to the aroma. It has a light bready maltiness with some earthy and slightly grassy hops.

Taste/Palate: The flavor is much more interesting. A good medium bodied base of bready malt starts things off. Deeper in there are some light toasted notes with very little sweetness. In the finish I get a lot of nutty and nut shell like notes along with fresh bread and earthy hops. This cleans up fairly quickly and somewhat dry. Carbonation and texture is right on.

Notes: This one is a solid example of the style.

Not bad pours a clear amber caramel hue with a nice off white head fine speckled lacing all around my glass. Aroma has a spicy noble hop tone with some toasted caramel malts backbone, pleasant smell. Flavor has a nice spicy caramel malt backbone, has a bit of a sour flavor to the malts but it actually works here. Mouthfeel is light but not thin carbonation not perfectly natural but not overdone. This is a good value Ofest from Stevens Point I really haven't had a beer I enjoy from them yet, now I can say I have.

Situation: Capping off a Black Friday...without shopping!
Glassware: Saranac willibecker...
Appearance: healthy orange body with a thick, pillowy two-finger head that settles nicely... consistent effervescence...
Aroma: light hints of malt but basically a pilsner in breadth and depth...
Palate: medium-bodied lager; an effervescent kick early that mellows...
Taste: vigorous malts arrest the throat; a bit sharper than expected, and more of a pilsner in its flavoring than a lager--not a compliment considering the expectations...
Overall: underwhelming take on a fall classic--tought to slag a beer that could prop up a tailgate, but this doesn't make me look forward to next fall or to buying another six of this, sooo...

Pours out clear, gold-amber hues, loud and fizzy carbonation and a creamy 2" cap of foam. Rushing, spazed-out bubbles that creates a hearty with a creamy topped look and some lace.

A dark wheat, herbal-edge and malty aroma. Creamy semi-sweet malt aroma, mild chocolate, earthy herbs and musty-dry hops and yeast blend together well.

A very clean, jazzy medium-bodied feel with a nice malty complexity, semi-sweet and smooth malt effect balanced with a very nice herbal, earthy yeast, dry hops and many subtle undertones of smoke and herbs. Nice balance.

I hate to think of October in late August, but this one is rushing in the season!

A - Pours amber, off-white color foam. Some lacing, and visible carbonation.

S - Smells of caramel malt, honey, and fresh grain. Quite nice.

T - Refreshing taste. Flavors of caramel and english malt come out. Sweetness of honey as well. Tastes a little like golden grahams cereal; the grainy taste is noticeable.

M - A bit of a grainy feel. Light bodied, and has a swwet finish.

O - Liked this the best of the Stevens Point beers I tried. Maybe not an iconic marzen but it is a solid enough fall beer that I'fd have it again. Particularly good beer with a heavy meal.

12oz bottle

A- Pours a clear copper color with golden hues when held up to the light.

S- The aroma is toasted malt and some tart citrus in the nose as well.

T- The taste like the aroma is mostly toasted malt flavors with a very moderate touch of hops in the finish.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied and heavily carbonated.

O- Overall, this is a pretty average brew that I probably wouldn't purchase again. Not bad, but not something that stands out among Oktoberfest beers.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a shaped pint glass. Appears a deep copper color with a finger and a half of off-white head. Head has good staying power and leaves some decent lacing.

Nose is spicy, earthy hops and some nice bitterness. Sweetness is actually not that noticeable. Taste is much sweeter with the malt backbone coming through first. Lots of caramel and breadiness. The bitterness comes through in the end with the earthy notes. The spiciness is also very noticeable at the end of each sip.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Pretty drinkable, and has a good balance. Overall, this isn't too bad, not worth seeking out. I've had better Oktoberfests, but this is pretty enjoyable on a cool fall evening.

Pours a clear copper with a very large white head that quickly disipates leaving a little lacing at the top of the glass as it departs. Almost a solid cap remains but not quite.

I smell the caramel malt and just a hint of floral hops.

The beer is true to style but otherwise unremarkable in flavor. Slightly sweet malt with just a bit of hops to clean it up. An easy drinking if a slightly thin beer with good carbonation. A solid effort but I can't really see myself seeking this beer out next fall.

Poured chilled into a Perfect Pint.

A=Nice honey golden color, darker towards the top; two fingers of foam that lasted about 30 seconds.

S=Moderate presence of freshly baked bread.

T=Moderate body, with a hint of citrus; not overly hopped; a bit lighter than other märzens that I've had; paired well with barbecued pork chops.

M=Very drinkable and almost no carbonation.

O=A märzen more suited to drinking with a meal or a session beer; much better than the Leinenkugel's version.

12 oz. Bright orange/gold pour, about a finger of white head. Appears like a large amount of carbonation's in there.

Aroma is pretty nice and malty, bready. Some yellow raisin, citrus.

Taste is also malty, caramel and a citrus tart that cuts through. Finishes a little wishy washy, cardboard, tea.

Carbonation is just a bit too high here. Not aweful, but it is too lively. Otherwise there are no problems drinking this, other than I would probably not reach for another.
