Pours a crystal clear reddish-brown color. No carbonation or head.
Smells barely of malt. Nothing else really.
Not much taste at all. Straight malt.
Good mouthfeel. A little sharp, but smooth on the way down.
Drinkability is ok. It is smooth, but very boring and weird after-taste, so I wouldn't drink more than one or so.
Beer is boring and a little odd tasting.

Classic Amber is just ok. Nothing Special, because overall, Stevens Point Brewery puts out a consistently good product. This is not one of them. Since this was part of a craft variety pack, the rest of the lot made the purchase well worth the while.. But then.. maybe it's just me.. being on an IPA tear and all...

Pours a large, soapy, off-white head that has impressive persistence. Bread dominates the nose. Radiantly clear burnt umber color. Starts with a toasted malt sweetness; almost caramel. A flash of floral hops before a huge wave of biscuit comes through and lingers all the way into the finish.
It has a crisp, smooth mouthfeel that is almost stereotypically lager.

This is some smooth drinking if you want something malty. At $6/6-pack, it's hard to beat.

355ml Bottle: labelled in the UK as Amber Lager for some reason. Poured into a stemmed 'Yuengling' badged glass at home on 26th Nov 13.

Guess what colour it was? Correct, amber: the head being white and lasting. The body clear but not really bright.

The aroma was initially malt led, as the beer warmed a little the hops came into their own smell wise: they overcame the slight malty molasses aroma and took over along with mini metallic twang.

The taste was a pleasant blend of maltiness and bittering hops, the hops giving a dry and long finish.

A bit fizzy for me, but others will say it's well carbonated no doubt: a malty lager, no more, no less.

Pours reddish amber with a thin white head that soon becomes a slowly vanishing island. Little lacing sticks. Nice color, but pretty unimpressive head and lacing.

The smell is of caramel with a floral touch.

The taste is of caramel and honey sweetness balanced by a touch of light toast and some bittering (though pretty much non-flavor enhancing) hops. There is also a hint of red apple in the finish.

It has ample carbonation and is pretty smooth. It has a slightly caramel-ish, minty aftertaste.

A decent, middle-of-the-road-ish amber lager. Decent, but nothing particularly noteworthy.
