Served in a Chicago Bears shaker pint glass.

A bit off-season, perhaps, but not by very much, and I just had to try this beer. It pours a clear straw topped by a short-lived finger or so of fizzy dirty white foam. The nose comprises light wheat, lighter grass, very light biscuit, and light acetone. The taste holds notes of cracked wheat, light white bread, sweetgrass, and a twinge of alcoholic fruit (that may sound vague, but not as vague as it tasted...). The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly watery feel. Overall, a pretty tepid beer. Not much going on at all, and what is there I'm not the biggest fan of, though it's in no real way offensive. Just boring, in a shabby kind o' way.

I got this from the 'mystery beer' at Laundry 101 in Kent.

Appearance - A crisp golden sunshine yellow. A light. soapy finger of head that lingers at the top. Fairly opaque.

Smell - This smells really, really bad I'm sorry to say. This smells like a funky baby's diaper. I want to call this some sort of funked belgian property, but it's just plain bad. And this beer isn't a Belgian brew.

Taste -Aw man. Here we go. Well that wasn't nearly as bad as the smell led me to believe. The only funk taste from the aroma comes in the aftertaste. A light, fizzy, wheat beer that I still think has a bit of Belgian quality to it. The malt in the finish is quite delicious.

Mouthfeel and Drinkability - Very light-bodied and pretty solid for a summer brew. It feels a bit out of place drinking it in October, but I of course did not dock it for that. This is just okay, but I would never purchase it again.

Served in a pint glass from a tap at Old Chicago.

A- cloudy golden... Typical summer wheat appearance. Head started at a finger or so and quickly dissipated to a ring around the glass.

S- heavy on the citrus, maybe even a hint of spice like clove.

T- great crisp citrus flavor with some malt hints on the back site and just enough hoppiness to make a clean finish. I'd like maybe just a dusting more of the hops for flavor. But a very tasty beer.

M- not as thin as others have said. A little oily maybe.

O- pretty good summer beer. Could easily drink a sixer of these on a hot day on the porch. I'll definitely look for this at my local store.

Got this bottle from Evbowski. Thanks buddy for the brew. Poured 12oz into pint glass.

A- Pours pretty hazy, light orange, deeper yellow. Starts with nice 1/2 finger white head. Recedes quickly down to very very thin cap.

S- Nose is fairly weak. Some grainy, wheat aroma mixed with slight citrusy hop smell. Hoping for more taste!

T- Better than the nose led with. Subtle lemon, orange hop taste. Get a wheat flavor backbone throughout the beer. Very little bitterness to it. Wish the hop flavors were stronger and stuck around a bit more.

M- Lighter body, moderate carbonation. Pretty thin in the mouth.

O- Decent wheat ale. Good summer beer on a hot day. I could still drink quite a few of these as the flavor isn't bad. I would just wish for a little more out of it. Still thanks for the beer Evan.

Hadn't heard or seen this but was at Tap House in Hampton and bartender let me try it since it was being heavily promoted. Poured a cloudy yellow w/ good head on top of a grainy yet smell of hops and a touch of yeast. Wouldn't have thought this was a pale wheat as it seemed more to me as a crappy fruit beer - the yeast is overpowered by just bitter hops and this cloying, fruity sweetness that I couldn't stomach for an entire glass. It was alright to try but not my pick for a beer.

Poured into a Stella Artois glass

Appearance: Great label (all those interesting nude coverups) Light head, half a finger, quickly dissipates, but lingers around the edge. yellow/orange in color; very opaque

Smell: lemons, oranges, citrus-y

Taste: Light, wheaty, lots of citrus, goes down smooth with a nice bite at the finish.

Mouthfeel: Light

Overall: Very refreshing. A good session beer. Perfect for summer afternoons.

The No Frills Grill in Va Beach always rotates its on-tap offerings. I was looking for something light with dinner, This beer fit the bill with food.

Served in a pilsner glass, a hazy straw color with practically no head and minimal lacing. Aroma is mild lemon zest and wheat.

Taste is the same. Mild, refreshing, lemony, with some wheat bitterness. Noting special, not bad either.

Mouthfeel is crisp with a little bitterness at the end

Overall would be an alright session beer or to accompany a meal.

12 oz bottle. On the label, people chillin on a nude beach. On the side of the bottle neck, a 3 digit Julian code(?).

Pours a completely clouded, true straw-yellow. A white head soon rings up, but washes the glass. Smells like a bunch of mineral, but also some bittersweetness underneath. Taste just sort of unfolds into an oversweetness that I can only describe as "wort-like." Feel is thick and oily. Ends sour, but seriously - I think this stuff got bottled too soon..

Poured a cloudy golden color. Not too much head.

Smell is wheaty with some banana coming though. Pretty pleasant aroma.

Taste is nice and light. Can taste the wheat. Nothing overpowering though. Good flavor.

Mouthfeel is light. Nice easy drinking beer.

Overall a pretty solid beer. And really good for $10/12 pack. Definitely will buy this again.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a inch and half of head the dissipates very quickly
Smell: I say wheat malt is the main player in the nose aspect no hops no yeast that I can smell of.
Taste: Malt is all you can taste not much else rather disappointing.
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is thin so taste leaves quick

This obviously caught my eye and bought a 6 pack of it at a liquor store in Delaware after visiting the Dogfish Head Brewpub. The beer poured out as a nice looking hazy golden color. The head was fluffy and white. The smell of the beer is fresh and lightly citric. The taste of the beer has a nice wheat flavor to it. The mouthfeel is smooth and not overly carbonated. Overall this beer is pretty good for summer time. I liked it.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Sam Adams pint.

A: Pours a hazy yellow-orange with 2 fingers of off-white head. Good retention and lace, vigorous carbonation.

S: Sweet wheat aromas with little banana and pepper.

T: Sweet wheat flavors with a bit of minerals up front, yielding slowly to light banana and pepper. A little hay in the middle. Simple yet tasty. About half way through the glass, the pepper seems to change into more of a lemon flavor.

M: Quite light with a foamy creaminess.

O: This beer says that summer is here, and I have to agree. Nothing outstanding, but not a single flaw. Haven't had anything from Point in quite a while and now I'm eager to visit a few of their other offerings again. Good stuff, enjoy it while it's here.

A - Poured out a hazy, golden orange color with a one-finger, white head of sudsy foam. It left little to no lacing.

S - It smelled of wheat, lemon and some yeast aromas.

T - It tasted of wheat, lemon zest and orange peel. There was a touch of yeastiness.

M - It was crisp, sharp and very smooth. A light bodied ale with a dry finish.

O - This is an okay American wheat ale. Fairly typical for Point Brewery.

Drinking one right now. There are 25 other wheat ales I would rather be drinking. I found this one rather boring. Nothing is exciting me about it. The best part of this beer is the label. I would probably drink this after drinking 6 of something else.

The mouthfeel has a metallic taste to it. The odor is rather weak. Overall, very average. I wouldn't buy again.

A - Slightly hazed straw gold color with an average sized bubbly, foamy, whispy, white head. Average retention leaving a thin ring of lace.

S - Some musty tart wheat aroma. A hint of lemon. A touch of grassy hops. Nice aroma, but it is pretty limited.

T - Similar to the nose with slightly spicy and tart wheat. Some bready wheat and lemon flavors as well. Pretty simple and fairly bland.

M - Light body with average carbonation. Slightly smooth body.

D - Easy to drink and nothing offensive. A decent cheap summer kind of beer. Refreshing but kind of bland.

Notes: Bland beer but somewhat refreshing for a cheap summer beer. Simple pale wheat beer, nothing with a lot of flavor but it is refreshing. For the price and the fact that they can it makes it a nice summer beer, but other than that it isnt worth the trouble.

12 oz can from Byron's (on sale for Memorial Day)

A ~ Cloudy yellow. Huge head.

S ~ Sweet roll, Grains, Rice (mostly rice)

T~ Wheatbread, Touch of hops, Corn Syrup. Faint banana and honeysuckle.

M ~ Good. Not too fizzy, would go great with Pepperoni Pizza.

D ~ I like it okay. Nothing spectacular going in, but it's not too sweet like most "summer wheats." Good on hot day of digging in the dirt.

A - Poured a hazy pale yellow with almost no head and noticeable carbonation

S - There is a faint hint of lemony citrus hops over the wheat

T - Typical lemony wheat beer flavor profile

M - Almost medium bodied with solid carbonation

O - Definitely an easy drinker. You could definitely throw a handful (or more) back without any problem on a summer day.

A - slightly orange, yellow with a good sized head

S - A mix of lemon, and slightly citrus smell, faint, but noticeable

T - Definitely an even lemon-wheat taste with hints of orange

M - smooth, not heavy or light, right in between and perfect for summer

O - Not mind-blowing, but certainly can hold its own as a summer beer. I would take this over Sam Summer as it is more flavorful and slightly lighter. The lemon and citrus flavors pop more and I can see myself out on a summer day with this easily!

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a standard pint glass. Hazy yellow/gold in color, with a big billowy head of bright white foam.
Aroma-Wheat, faint lemon, banana peel
Taste-Soft wheat, sweet cream buttered biscuit, faint banana, faint clove.
Overall pretty refreshing and nice. Flavor is a bit muted and on the sweet side of things, but I could drink a few of these on a hot summer day with no problem.

Pours a hazy yellow to orange-ish color with a white head. In the aroma, sweet citrus and a small wheat note. In the taste, a sweet light citrus and a small pilsner like hop. A Saaz/ pilsner like hop bite and lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a semi dry wheat note in the aftertaste. EH! Somewhere between a pilsner and a wheat.

Stevens Point Nude Beach

Pours a hazy straw yellow, decent sized head on the cloudy body. Aroma of wheat and some lemon predominate in the nose, follows through with a basic wheat/banana/citrus interaction and also a little grainy. Mouthfeel is on the light side of medium bodied alittle thin. Overall I thought this was a decent American wheat.

12 oz into a snifer...head is not huge but it is a nice color, cloudy and bright. A bit of good yeast funk in the nose along with some sharpness from the wheat. I like it.

It's not as sharp on the tongue as I would have hoped, although it's still pretty crisp. Not a bad wheat beer at all.

Nothing to complain about in the mouthfeel either, it's just fine but won't blow you away.

Decent beer at a decent price. At $9.99 for a twelve pack, that's only about a buck more than others might be charging for a six pack. Good value.
