I had this tonight while waiting for friends at a local restaurant. The server warned me that this beer is pretty "overwhelming." I took this in stride as the waiter was probably just trying to be helpful.

The coloring was an okay shade of brown and the foam was minimal. The foam could have been affected by the bartender's pour or if they used a chilled glass.

The scents coming across the top was minimal. I expected much more aroma from a DIPA. The citrus and pine were pretty muted.

The taste came across with decent hoppiness and a very present alcohol flavoring. The hops were out of balance with the alcohol.

This was an okay example of a DIPA. I wouldn't turn it away, but I probably won't buy a bottle in the future.

Quite a jaunty little hog pictured on the label, it looks like a dog chasing a fox or something. Never saw a pig gallop, maybe it's a rodeo pig?

Poured a crimson orange into a snifter, at a height of 4-6" it produced a finger of ecru foam that faded slowly into a ring and thin veil over the surface. Aroma was grassy and botanical with toasted malts peeking through, not the strong hop dominance I was expecting. It was okay, more just like an average IPA smells.

Caramel and bitter grassy hop presence, as it warmed the alcohol became more apparent. Some floral/soapy/bitter hop character, reminded me of an imperialized SNPA. Sort of dissonant and not fully meshed. Full bodied with some astringency and heat. That said it was light enough to finish the bottle, glad I was able to find it as a single though.

Pours a clean orange-ish color with an off white head. In the aroma, grapefruity hops and gingerbread like maltiness. In the taste, hodge podge of hops, and sharp, sweet maltiness. A smooth and medium bodied mouthfeel, with a fresh dry hopped aftertaste. It seems that all the hops cancel each other out. Hides ABV, decent IPA.
