A: Brown like a brown ale. Little head with a nice lace that stayed

S: Pumpkin Pie, as advertised. If I had whipped cream.. Not quite as sweet smelling. Weak alcohol smell at the back as well.

M: Creamy finish that left little taste. Hole in the middle.

T:Another beer I had high hopes of tasting like a slice of pumpkin pie and well, it does, on steroids. Strong alcohol takes control and punches in the palette. Prune and raisin with just a hint of cinnamon and pumpkin off to the sides with the linger of pumpkin finish and molasses.

O: One man's pumpkin ale is not another mans pumpkin ale. This is a great beverage, just a bit stronger than my holy grail of pumpkin pie in a glass with whipped cream.

This is a really impressive pumpkin ale. I like the way the pumpkin/gourd flavor combines with the spicing. This is not a spice bomb but it add a nice touch with cinnamon and nutmeg most prevalent. Really like the aroma and flavor. Only slight knock would be it could use a bit fuller body for 7.5%. Finishes a little thin rather than rounded but I am splitting hairs....one of the better pumpkin ales out there..

Another surprisingly good pumpkin beer -- Dogfish Head Pumpkin ale being the first good pumpkin beer I've tried in a long line of disappointments.

This actually doesn't taste much like beer. It's a pumpkin soda that cloaks its 7.5% abv completely. It's much sweeter than the Dogfish Head, which isn't a good thing. Wish there were more malt flavor (the "pie crust" flavor found in the Dogfish Head) and bigger body.

But it's definitely better than ten pumpkin beers I've tried in the past month.

OUTSTANDING BREW!!!!! Tough to find in my neck of the woods, but I was able to find a few 4 packs so that I could give this one a try...boy did it NOT disappoint!!! So far, this one has been my favorite pumpkin ale that I have had so far this year...just a tad better than the Dog Fish Head Punkin...great flavor, spices are perfectly blended and it is one smooth brew!!! I highly recommend you gove this one a try...it is pure bliss...pumpkin pie in a bottle!!!
