Appearance - Very light yellow. Crystal clear and bubbly. Tall white foamy head. Quickly dissipates.

Smell - Light pale malt. Not unlike a macrolager.

Taste - Very light. Sweet pale malt and water. Hint of hoppy sourness in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Light and crisp.

Overall - An ale version of a diet beer? Not sure I needed that.

Super pale super clear yellow and fizzy. Little head. Nothing on the nose but grain. Goes down like an amstel light, pretty close to tasting like seltzer water. Touch of grain prickly carbonation and not a single hop flavor that I can detect. There are far better low calorie beers out there that probably have even less calories than this but actually have some flavor. I'd go as fast as saying miller lite has more flavor than this one. Just bland and unenjoyable. If i'm gonna cut calories why would I was it on this $9 six as opposed to the thousands of 6$ ones that tastes just the same if not possibly better.

This was part of a huge haul that I picked up at Binny's (South Loop) during my latest visit to the Windy City. I am always looking to expand The CANQuest (TM), but this one hits a little close to home. Many is the blonde who has told me to "Drop Dead!" If they meant this in terms of looks, they should have used a gun moll blonde from the cover of some old noir/pulp fiction.

The Crack was kind of unobtrusive so to enliven things, I utilized an inverted Glug. This resulted in a foamy finger of bone-white head with modest retention. Color was a sunshine yellow with NE-quality clarity and loads of CO2 bubbles in evidence. Nose had a characteristic lager sweetness, seemingly devoid of corn or other unwanted adjuncts, but something still smelled a little off. Mouthfeel was medium and it really was pretty tasty, slightly sweet, definitely lager and without any adjuncts discernible. Finish was semi-dry and very refreshing. This would make a great lawnmower beer. I guess that I am kind of like Dos Equis' Most Interesting Man in that I do not usually drink light lagers, but when I do, this is the sort of thing that I enjoy. Stay CANned, my friends.

A thanks goes out to woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a light golden color with a small head. Smell is of malts, some grains. Taste is mild, malts and grains, a touch of sweetness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a mediocre beer.

12 oz bottle into my 32 oz mug. BA doesn't have it listed yet, but it's 3.5% abv

a: Pale yellow straw in color, 1/2 inch head that didn't hang out for too long, very minimal lacing, some carbonation bubbles making their way to the surface

s: Malty, and as others have pointed out, this is labled as an "ale" but I smell the adjuncts

t: Some more character than the BMCs of the world -- decent malty sweetness that is quickly quashed by hops. A good balance for a light beer.

m: Like soda water. Very light, very smooth, mild carbonation bite right after opening, though

o: This is a light beer. You can parse the "ale" or "lager" and ultimately all light beers up having the same comparable characteristics. I did find this one slightly more complex and satisfying, and even that may be because I love Steven's Point. A great go-to for yard work or a break to a simple, light beer. Great thirst quencher

Thanks to WoodyChandler for this one. Poured into 9oz pilsener glass.Poured a very light and thin looking yellow with just a thin cap of white head that had zero retention or lacing. There were lots of carbonation bubbles sticking to the side of the glass though.

The aroma was slightly sweet, with a touch of grain in the background. The basic aroma profile was that of "beer", that generic beery smell we all know from dive bars and bowling alleys. The taste was the same, a slightly sweet beer taste, no real outstanding notes, or terrible ones either.

The body was crisp and the beer was easy drinking, although there was a slight stickiness on the finish. Drinkability was good enough, my can went down very quickly and easily. Overall, while nothing special or worth seeking out, this brew would make a decent "chore beer", when you just want a quick, refreshing brew while playing with your weed-eater, this would be an acceptable choice.

Appearance - Pours a clear, pale golden color with a centimeter thick head that dissipates instantly. Not much lacing was left behind.

Smell - I'm not detecting much in the aroma. Just a subtle sweetness and grains.

Taste - Slightly sweet with pale malts, corn, very grainy, and somewhat of a metallic flavor.

Mouthfeel - Light bodied (watery) with medium carbonation.

Overall - I originally thought this was going to be a blonde ale, judging from the title. This tastes like your typical light lager. It's good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Color is pale and smell is what you'd expect from a blonde, cereal malt with a bit of a bite. Flavor is mildly sweet with a distinctive but not overpowering hop aftertaste. Medium to light bodied. I'm not sure why this is labeled as a "light lager" when it tastes more like a blonde ale, with a much better body and flavor than anything typically labeled "light." This is a good hot weather beer.

Reviewed from notes.

Pours out a clear pale yellow like a pilsner, only without any real head or lacing to speak of. Smells vaguely like adjuncts, and tastes vaguely like beer, I guess, but mostly handles like a refreshing mineral water that has been "beer flavored" with extremely diluted extract. Not a real winner in my book. If I wanted to have this sort of experience (and I don't) I'd consume a BMC. At least it isn't skunked in any way.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a standard pint glass. Clear, pale yellow in color. Very short, quickly dissapating head of white foam.
Aroma-Faint pilsner malt
Taste-Watery "light" beer flavor. Like drinking water out of a rinsed glass that had actual beer in it. "110 calories" touted on the label makes me think that this is Steven's Point version of a light beer. No need to stoop so low guys, your other offerings are pretty good if not very good. Let the macro brews deal with the watery beer, and keep up the craft end of things that you do pretty well. I'd rather have one of your crisp pale ales or quenching wheat brews on a hot day than snuggle up with this skanky blonde.
