Unfiltered and quite reddish. Clearly the blueberries add some color. Not much head.
Vague wheat and yeast aroma, a bit of lemon and banana, no clove to speak of.
Basic wheat beer, but flavors are extremely muted. Lemon and clove, vague banana. Possibly the blueberry adds a faint note in the finish, I think it's a positive addition compared to the original and works well with the flavor profile, muted as it is.
Mouthfeel smooth, but a bit thin and undercarbonated. Makes for easy drinking, but really seemed flat as the beer warmed.
My main complaint is the mouthfeel seems a little thin, and the flavors are lacking depth. I think the blueberries smoothed out some of the off-flavors in the original Bavarian Wheat, but they didn't add a ton of flavor themselves. Flavors were good, but towards the end the carbonation and mouthfeel were just flat. Passable, but missing a little oomph.
Serving type: on-tap
