A bit of a bright golden to orange color with a smaller tan head. Not too much lacing. Smell is strong and earthy with a touch of clove and lemon notes. Taste is weaker and more wheat dominant than anything else. Some lemon notes and a touch of hoppiness in the middle. Like the other Sand Creek beers I've tried there's a mineral water character that I personally don't really care for. Finish is a touch sweet with possibly some banana but it leaves quick. This was decent but it's lost b/w Hefe and American Wheat.

Pours clear and filtered with little or no head. Woody's Wheat tastes as most American style wheat ales; light and spritzy. No malt, no hops. No Banana, no cloves; it's empty. Sipping it leaves a very dry mouth-feel, similar to a cider. Calling it a hefeweizen is an insult to Bavaria. Disappointing--concerning Woody's is brewed in Black River Falls, WI.
