Got this on my Midwestern trek. Can't beat an oatmeal stout with chocolate and a bear :)
Pours a pretty dark and thick brown color. Head's there without an aggressive pour. Looking at it in the light, this one's definitely dark.
Smells like roasted grain, dark cocoa, and a hint of espresso.
This one goes down really smooth. The cocoa is there, but it doesn't try to overwhelm your palate. The coffee comes out a little more and it keeps the beer from being sweet. Instead it finishes dry. The oats keep the texture silky smooth.
Pretty nice stout for sure. Not too strong or "in your face" but a great easy drinking darker brew for a summer night.

Pours a half inch medium mocha head on a brown beer,

Smell equals weak chocolate sweeetness.

Roasty, creamy chocolatey, A certain nuttiness, would guess more alcohol than stated 4.5%abv.

Medium motuhfeel, above average carbonation.

I liked this one a lot. A simple low ABV stout with big flavor. I wonder why it isn't rayed higher on Beer Advocate. Worth a try for stout fans.

Bottle courtesy of Quinn’s IGA in La Crosse. Dark brownish black color with a thin and dense dark beige head that lasts a little while. Thin sheets of lacing. Mild coffee and malt in the nose. Medium-bodied with burnt coffee, chocolate and malt flavors. The finish is bitter with coffee and hops, along with some sweetness on the back end. Above average all around.

I think this is another bottle from boilerbeer, so thanks!

Pours very black with toasted brown edges. A nice sandy head settles quickly to virtually nothing but manages to leave a few spots of lace before it fades completely. A good looking beer, but not overly exciting.

Nose is a very nice blend of syrup, bark, earth, chocolate, and sweet cappuccino. Very nice.

Oatmeal and dark toasted grains hang on the tongue up front, with a nice mildly sweet chocolate and coffee flavor adding some nice dimension. Finishes with a little more oatmeal and a slightly hollow burnt wood flavor. Not a lot of complexity, but some very pleasant flavors in a nice tasting beer.

Medium bodied, with a hint of oatmeal smoothness. Carbonation has a moment of sharpness but is overall rather weak. Leaves a light coating hanging around extending the flavor nicely after the swallow.

Pleasant and tasty with some nice details and a decent feel. Goes down pretty easily. Not the first beer I'd grab, but one I could certainly sip on for an evening.
