Yet another beer-o-the-month selection.

Pours a very light orange - would have liked a bit more color. interestingly, there were quite a bit of floaties in there, something i havent really seen in an IPA. huge head and about 1/8" stays with it. lots of hops, very little malts. citrus, lemon, grapefruit, etc. light-bodied.

a fine example of the style, but certainly not one of the best out there.

There are a lot of amazing IPAs on the market and this beer does not challenge the top tier. However, it is a great representation of the style and worthy of honorable mention in the space. Wild River has a great flavor which is hop forward and light on malt -- solidly on the grapefruit/citrus side of the IPA crowd. The mouthfeel is good, not great; it's a bit light on the tongue. The bitterness is not massive but it is strong enough to support the beer and it ends with a solid finish. This is a very good beer and worthy of a try -- especially in Wisconsin.

Pours copper with a creamy head that leaves some lacing.

The smell is of citric fruits - especially grapefruit - with herbal notes. Robust hop aroma.

The taste is of citric fruits and herbal notes, balanced by a touch of caramel. It has a bitter, dry finish. Hops linger through aftertaste.

It has a chewy, smooth body.

This is a hop delight! Just enough malt to give it a backbone, the hops truly shine here! A very well-made American IPA!

The paler side of orange, this beer is translucent but not transparent, with some chill haze and maybe even some particulate hop matter floating around. There is a soft, billowy, white cloud of foam that recedes, lacing the glass and ringing the beer surface,

American hops, all the way, in the nose. Pine and Citrus.

Taste: If you like chinook, this is going to register as a good balanced beer. If you find chinook a bit strong, maybe even obnoxious, this beer will not change your opinion.
