Poured orange amber and hazy with a creamy light tan head that persisted and left lacing.

Smell has elements of citrus, resin, and pineapple, but overall is very faint.

Taste..citrus, orange and tangerines. Light mango. Mandarin orange. Nice medium level of bitterness falls in somewhere behind the washing of flavors. Mouthfeel is a little bit loose and on the lighter side. Lingering bitterness. Clean finish.

This IPA has a lot of nice flavors within however my major complaint being that although the flavor is there, it's far too subtle. Good level of bitterness however. Quite drinkable. Needs a little more flavor.

hazy. grungy. copperish. has a head.

not much aroma. some hop resin. bit o' malt

solid bitterness but not enough hop flavor/aroma to go with it. maybe not fresh? no date info on the bottle so who knows (annoying). enough malt to be interesting if it had more hop flavor.

feels like a hoppy beer. a little oily. solid.

not mush else to say. i was not that impressed. i have 5 more bottles to drink.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Michelob pint glass.

A- Pours a deep very musty and hazy looking orange. Has a small head that dissipates somewhat soon leaving just a slight lacing on the top of the beer and a slightly thicker ring around the edges of the glass. This beer is pretty hard to see through although there is some light penetration. There are quite a few slightly white floaters that are telling me it looks like this beer is unfiltered. interesting.

S- Has a hop character consisting of more citrusy and fruity notes. Some pineapple, coupled with a strong scent of mango with some lemon notes. Ends on a slight floral note.

T- Starts of slightly sweet and floaraly before moving into a more citrusy body and finally ending on some more piney and bitter notes. Leaves a decent piny and then slightly earthy bitterness in the mouth after each sip. Has a very nice complex finish. Underneath the hops their is a slight hint of caramelly biscuityness from the malts. This is actually a very nice and balanced IPA in terms of hop and malt ratio, there are some good caramally malt notes underlying the whole flavor.

M- Has a medium complex body feel to it with high carbonation. Somewhat of a slightly thicker feel, yet without the smoothness or syrupyness like in a low abv stout or porter. Has a body somewhat similar to that of a weizenbock or heavier dunkleweizen.

O- If there was ever a time to take a grade school lesson to heart it would be with this beer: Don't judge this book by it's cover. Although it definitely seemed less inviting and somewhat unattractive at first this IPA actually turned out to be pretty good. While I probably wouldn't buy this again just because their are so many other better looking IPA's that taste just as good, if not better, I wouldn't be opposed to drinking this anywhere if It were to be one of my few craft options or if I found it on tap somewhere. It's actually a very decent IPA, very nice and flavorful and complex for the style hop wise. I just feel like there is a nice amount of depth to the hop profile that many people probably don't take the time to appreciate since they are probably to busy focusing on how unattractive this unfiltered IPA is. Although I have tried MANY IPA's so far this is the first one I can think of that was unfiltered to my knowledge. Worth the try for any Hop heads here in Wisconsin.

Pours a rich copper color, poured a solid finger of head that dissapated quickly. Good citrus/pine scent. Very malty IPA, balances okay with the hops used. Smooth mouth feel, semi sweet middle with a very bitter end. A good IPA, in my opinion. A little maltier than I prefer, but nevertheless a good beer
