12 oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass.
5.5% ABV, no date.

A - A rush of sediment fills the glass towards the bottom of the bottle, filling the golden beer with an unattractive muddy haze. This "malt beverage" is topped with a firm, rocky white head that works to capture the aroma nicely though.

S - Freshly squeezed, tart lemon and limeade lingers with a little bite of artificial sweetness and splash of pomegranate juice on the back end. Grainy malt has the appeal of a malt liquor but is nicely overshadowed by the balanced and not-too-sweet fruitiness.

T - The nose's grainy pale malt base flourishes in the flavor of this beverage but a mix of real fruit juice and sugary sweetness brings the tart lemonade and pomegranate juice to the surface for a refreshing, albeit fruity, finish.

M - Sharp carbonation tickles the tongue with a nicely balancing spritz that, in tandem with the tartness, keeps the sweetness in check. It does feel a bit fuller in body than one might anticipate for such a drink though.

O - I can't argue against this beer; Sand Creek advertises it as exactly what it is and they follow through nicely. I don't enjoy this iteration quite as much as the regular version but the pomegranate does provide a unique twist. "Beer"? Not that much. Fruity summer drink? The ladies will more than likely love it and on a hot day such as this, it goes down nicely. (1,399 characters)
