From a Canadian perspective, this WFM is a hell of a location for a grocery store. I realize that many people in the states are used to this kind of thing.. but when compared to our LCBO's, even the best ones, this place was a thing of beauty.

They had bottles that I had never seen before. V. large duvel's, Unibroue & DDC's beers that I can't get even though I live within spitting distance of Quebec, plus a monstrosity of single versions of hard to find craft beers plus a wall of six packs. I was dumbdounded for about 10 minutes.

All the rogue's, Sierra Nevada's, Dogfish and what nots are here plus many others that you wouldn't expect. Prices are not cheap though. Many large import bottles go for $20 or more but hey, when you're in the candy store you can't complain too much about the prices.

Service is non existant.. this is a grocery store and you are on your own, but don't let that stop you. If you are staying in Dupont circle, take the half hour round trip and stop in. (991 characters)

Great selection, excellent prices, and when Randy is around you'll get the finest service you can ask for. Getting through to him is the problem. Now that I live in MD I rarely get a chance to visit but when I do it's well worth it. (233 characters)

The growler bar is ok. The best part is that you can shop while drinking the drink from the bar! The beer selection is great. One of the best around--in part because I think Churchkey is so close. Randy is great at getting the rare beers. You have to follow twitter and get there early for the good stuff before it's gone. (322 characters)

This is a super market which is important to consider because I am reviewing the bar selection only. Went in to get my growler filled. Apparently they shut down the taps at 9 pm. Very unfortunate considering they close doors at 10:30.

Staff was friendly and courteous but informed me I would have to come back at noon tomorrow. The selection was very unique and summery, notably Evolution Summer Session, and I was hoping to get the delicious Ommegang Fleur de Houblon. They bar is tiny and could seat many 5 with their coffee or growlers. I will go back because $10 for a 32oz isn't amazing but some of the beers are hard to find and would be more than $5 for a 12oz anyways in other parts of DC, so its worth a shot on a few of them. It appeared these beers had been on draft for 6 days and the bartender didn't seem to think they were going to be changed tomorrow (Friday) as someone else reviewing this location indicated. (927 characters)
