16.9 oz. bottle.

Appearance: This was a clear, amber beer with a nice bead. The off-white head rose up to about a finger and a half and settled quickly. The lacing was minimal. Nice looking color and clarity, but nothing to make it stand out from the crowd.

Smell: Fruity with sweet apples, grapes, and cheap candy. There was a dry mustiness to the aroma as well that I couldn't attribute to the yeast since the beer was clear with no sediment. I'm not sure where it came from. The hops just barely made it into the aroma, along with a hint of spiciness. A little thin overall.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied and lacking. Smooth, but that didn't make up for the almost watery body.

Taste: Lightly sweet apples and grapes were present on the tip of the tongue. In the middle, some light hops and strong grass notes arose. Then, strong alcohol reared up and washed everthing else away. It completely dominated, only alowing a hint of sweetness and a reprise of the grass on the aftertaste.

Weak all around. Way too light and delicate of a beer to have an abv of 7.5%. The alcohol overpowered everything else. I paid $5.99 for this bottle . . . that's about $5.52 too much.

Pour is very pale, dull orange; full clarity. White head retains pretty well while leaving bits of lace.

Lots of herbal/earthy hops with some light grapefruit perhaps. Toffee malts and buttered bread. Decent overall. Definitely English stuff goin' on.

Taste is similar, a bit hoppier maybe, surprisingly so for its non-IPA categorization. Mostly herbal and leafy flavors and light fruitiness there along with a tea-like presence. Bread, diacetyl, toffee-like sweetness and grains provide a big malty finish. Seems to be some minor off-flavors in there.

Smooth mouthfeel with light bitterness and lower-end carbonation. Just a bit of booze there.

A decent English pale, it's big on the herbal hops and buttery malts which is always kind of an 'eh' flavor combo for me, but really not a bad beer.

Appearance - a light amber color, with not much of a head.

Smell - it is a piney/hops smell, with a bit of sweetness.

Taste - like the smell, pine/hops bitterness.

Mouthfeel - perfect carbonation and a good body.

Overall - It is a pretty decent English pale ale.
