Took my wife and sister in law here last night. Lots of parking in back. Large bar area with seating in the front and a seperate dining area toward the back of the place. Not very crowded for a Saturday night at around 8 pm when we walked in. The server suggested we sit in the bar area because the dining area is full of a bunch of "old folks". We took his advice and got a huge booth table right in the front. Decent amount of British specialties like shepards pie, fish and chips etc. A bit dissapointed with the beer selection though. I wanted a Fullers ESB but was informed they "were out of it". It wouldn't have been so bad if there were more British ales but the only others were Newcastle, Boddingtons and I believe they had Guinness too plus the standard American macros. Eh oh well, settled with the Boddingtons, my wife and her sister Newcastles. Service is prompt, beers are good and fresh. Got the bangers and mash which was tasty as well. Pricing is not too extravagent either, $5.50 for pints around $11 for thier British food specialties. Overall we had a good experience, worth trying again.

Wonderfully friendly pub in the heart of the San Fernando Valley.
It's been about four or five years since I'd been here, but stopping in for a pint and a bite this weekend, I see that very little has changed. Looks like they got a couple new plazma big screens with hi-def.
The taps are about the same with Fullers ESB, Stella, Erdinger Hefeweizen, Newcastle, Carlsberg, Bass, Harp, Guinness, Boddingtons and Blackthorn.
The food's still a-ok. It's mostly UK fare, shephard's pies, scotch eggs, bangers and mash with a few tasty non-traditional treats.
There's two rooms: the main bar and a fancy dining room. You can eat or drink in the bar, but I believe the dining room is just for eaters.
Overall it's a well-kept place with plenty of room, nice decor, and a good parking situation. Also it's just down the street from the Ireland 32 and right next door is the Friar Tuck Shop where you can pick up all your Brit goods.

This is a simple no-nonsense English pub located in the heart of Van Nuys.
Now, if you ask me what's my favorite English pub in LA? It's Lucky Baldwin's, but Lucky's isn't a typical English pub. If I'm looking for a plate of scotch eggs and a cool pint of London Pride, then I head over to Robin Hood to trade throws at the boards with a friend.
The offerings are pretty standard with B, BL and Sam, but for the English stuff they have your standards, Fuller's LP, Bass, Guinness, Blackthorn, and generally with one other tap with something interesting on. Lots of Brits here in the pub and lots of Football to watch between pints.
