Served with very little head and a deep orange-golden color. Sort of bubbly, but a good mouthfeel. The smell was quite complex - lots of citrus fruit aromas and some yeasty hops. The taste was really refreshing - mostly of citrus again - perfect beer for a hot summer day.

On-tap at WIdmer Gasthaus, released in June 2006. 17 IBU, 5.67%ABV. Warrior Hops for bittering, Czech Saaz for aroma. Coriander and Curacao Orange Peel added. All the above listed in the Widmer informational binder I asked to browse through.

A: A decent looking witbier, but more cloudy & unfiltered (a shame to not see all those beautiful carbonation bubbles rising to the top). Light golden color with a thick pure-white crown and a bit of lacing. Served in a pint glass.

S: Clove & coriander smells are fairly mild. Traces of orange peel are nice and give a floral/herbal hint of sweetness. I also picked up a touchy lemony sourness, too.

T: Nicely balanced & dry, the clove and coriander are spicy and herbal all at once. The citrusy orange masks a subdued hop bitterness. Grassy wheat with some peppery spiciness. A good tasting example of Wit.

M: Flavors fade a little too quickly, making this beer seem weak to me. Light-medium body. Some lingering bitterness and spice. Crisp finish.

D: Very refreshing. Drinkable as a spritzy, light summer seasonal. I'd be happy if Widmer made this a regular summer brew. Recommended.
