Appearance - Pours a clear, near burnt orange color with an off-white, 2 finger head. Excellent retention. Phenomenal amount of lacing, showing good stick.

Smell - Aroma is aggressively hopped, hitting on strong grapefruit character. Underlying notes of bread and caramel.

Taste - Follows the nose to a T. Grapefruit hop character dominates much of the profile, while lesser notes of caramel peak through somewhere toward the end.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied, with fair carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy on the swallow.

Overall - This is a lot closer to a winter seasonal IPA than it is a Winter Warmer. Think Sierra Nevada Celebration, and you've got a good idea about what this beer is, though I prefer the latter.

Pours a clear light amber with copper highlights and a solid one inch khaki head that dissipates slowly, leaving sticky lacing.

Aroma is dominated initially by dank, skunky hops, with an underpinning of grapefruit. There's a slightly sweet caramel bready malt character, along with some floral hops at the finish.

Flavor is pretty citrusy upfront. Grapefruit and tangerine are accompanied at some point by a basil-like herbal hop character. The mid palate flavor is cut short by bitter hops.
Malt is present in a subtle sweetness and bready dryness, but the hops shine. Some of that dankness comes out as it warms.

Body is a touch light and worty, with moderate carbonation. Alcohol warmth is felt, but not overwhelmingly so.

Pretty hoppy for a winter warmer. Lacks the spice character of most, which is great.
Definitely a warming beer. Citrus and dankness dominate. There's a metallic taste that surfaces and is offputting.

Amber with a cap of foam that leaves decent lacing. Smell is sourdough bread, quite malty. Taste is malt, bread, crackers initially with a pungent floral resin-spicy character then blooms mid palate, then a nice washing of hops reigns in the sweetness. Medium body, zingy carbonation. Finish is dry and slightly bitter. Enjoyable.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark caramel color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is malts, alchohol is present. Taste is a good bit boozy, some malts, a hint of spice, more alcohol. feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall not bad, but a bit to boozy for me.

This beer pours a deep yellow to orange in color very clear with half an inch of head and minimal lacing.

This beer has a nice aroma of fruity hops and sweetness.

The taste is grapefruit hops followed by sweet maltiness and followed by grapefruit again.

Mouthfeel is smooth and little carbonation.

Overall one of the few hop forward winter seasonals that is very nice and enjoyable, a beer I will purchase again
