Appearance: 120z bottle poured into Duvel tulip. Colour is oil black with a half-finger head that fades to a thin film.
Smell: Burnt and roasted malts mix well with floral, bitter hops.
Taste: A well balanced mixture of roasted or toasted malts and bitter hops. Rich and dry finish, malts linger nicely in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, creamy, and soft. Gentle bite from a modest carbonation, finishes sticky.
Overall: I love this style and I'm definitely enjoying this brew. Not as thick and chewy as I had expected but then again, this isn't a stout or porter. I see myself definitely drinking more of this.
