Appearance - Pours clear and copper in color with an off-white finger width head. Fair retention, leading to a broken layer of microbubbles across the surface. spotty lacing with good stick.
Smell - Moderate citrus notes, backed by light caramel malt aroma.
Taste - Hop character is predominant upfront and throughout, but by default, as the flavor here is really mellow and underwhelming. Mellow citrus and subtle pine. Light notes of caramel malt underneath. Traces of mint near the finish. A light citrus pith tingle in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium body with moderate to lively carbonation. Smooth. Very easy to drink.
Overall - They retired Drifter for this? Hmm. Not far from it's predecessor, but inferior, IMO. Less flavor, and the Drifter was already a pretty lightly flavored pale. The hint of mint in this beer is nice, but not enough to convince me to buy this again.
