On-tap at Ale+Witch. The brew pours a brassy hue and is topped with a small but persistent white cap; looks just a bit above average. Now, to the aroma, or lack thereof... it is not offensive or bad, but, for an IPA, you really need to bring it with some hoppy aromatics, which Falconer's does not. The taste, on the other hand, is quite hoppy and bitter, although the specifics of the profile are hard to pin down beyond 'hoppy' and 'bitter'. The brew has a very sturdy malt, which lends great tooth and nice balance to the whole thing; I'd like to see the malt bill utilized with a different hop schedule (though, possibly, I already have with other Widmers.) Overall, not bad, not great, certainly passable.

Poured froma standard pressure-cap bomber into a conic pint glass in high elevation Kalispell, Mont. Reviewed live.
A- Three-finger thick white head with a minute-long head and large bubbles. Trace lacing goes up high. Amber color with high clarity. Fine looking beer.
S- Some pine and citrus. Hops and slightly warm and sugary.
T- Warm flavor with bitter, piney hops.
M- Buttery, smooth medium bodied beer. Fairly wet finish.
O- Excellent, piney IPA.
