Served in a perfect pint glass

A - It is orange with gold highlights. It has a slight haze. There is two inches of beige head with pretty good clinging power.

S - I get a lot of sweet malt aromas. I get some caramel and toffee. The hops come through with some minor citrus notes.

T - This is a malt forward ipa. The hops are definitely not pronounced. I am on my third, and I have just a little bitterness in my mouth. It's mostly grapefruit.

M - Low carbonation with a medium mouthfeel.

O - I thought I may have had an old sixer until I read some other reviews. The hops are hidden compared to most ipa's. It is more like a pale ale.

Half finger head on a clear amber with crimson hues body. Excellent lacing. Aroma is mild with some grapefruit and mild earthy notes but overall very mild. Malt forward IPA with candied oranges, earthy and slight floral notes. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall a nice IPA, not too memorable.

A little darker than average pour, slight light brown intrusion, dark copper. Aroma was hoppy, falconer's hops seem like a little more bitter cascades.

A heavy malt mouthfeel, this is a big bodied 'single' ipa. The hopping is nice, but between the six pack I had, I noticed the beer didn't have much sturdiness, after a few weeks it was a very different beer. Hope you like caramel, toffee, tea and grapefruit. Could have just as easily believed this was a hoppy brown ale.

Good enough, the thing I like about these Widmer rotating ipas is that they're all unique, but they're not just different for the sake of being different, you get some enjoyable actual different takes on the ipa style.

The beer pours a clear orange color with a white head. The aroma is very fruity, with some grapes, cherries and pine notes mixed in with some toffee. The flavor is similar. I get orange and cherry with biscuit malt and a low amount of bitterness. I also get a little bit of pine, but the fruit notes from the hops stand out more. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not bad.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

My insurance company never bought me a falcon... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear amber topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises light orange zest, buttery biscuit, light flowers, and a touch of sweet toffee. The taste is dominated by a stinging ruby red grapefruit rind bitterness, with some light caramel and grass lying beneath, hoping to catch a crumb from the oppressive elite. No such luck, kids: time to starve. Yeah, that kept going, but that's just 'cause I wanted to get my mind off of the terrible taste still rampaging through my mouth. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, I don't know what went wrong with this beer, but it is downright awful-tasting. My tongue still kinda hurts from it. Boo.

Standard 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours an orange amber with half an inch of slightly off white foam. Mostly clear with a touch of haze, and offering good retention and lacing.

Nose of citric and piney hops. Not as one sided in the aroma as many of the Rotator IPA's, with more earthy and spicy hop components vs. the onslaught of Citra type orange notes.

Lightly sweet and with a touch of caramel fruitiness. Spritzy and with a spicy hop finish and offering a mild bitterness. Offers a smooth and moderate feel with a slightly drying finish of hop spice, yet balanced with a hint of caramel sweetness. Decent balance makes for an easy drinking ale of moderate complexity.

[Best served in a Shaker glass]

The pour was a medium copper orange with an average sized (1-2 finger) off white rocky head that had great retention, lasting throughout with some great sticky lacing.

The aroma was of caramel malts, floral and citrus hops and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel and grapefruit.

The taste was at first sweetly malty with a huge note of caramel and then slowly became nice and hoppy with a note of citrus (grapefruit) at the end. The flavor lasted a very long time proceeding the swallow with a good strong hoppy taste left on the taste buds.

Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body and dry in texture with a prickly carbonation.

Overall an IPA that started mildly malty and a tad sweet but ended BIG in the hops department...

Purchased at Bier Thirty over in Bown last night.. Poured into my small CC goblet... The head drops pretty quickly.. nice lacing ... decent cap... the brew is a hazed light amber.

Nose has a good pungent hoppiness.. grapefruit zest and pine comb.. with an interesting tropical fruity profile... odd.. the malts seem a touch too high and even show some dark toast....

Big bitterness out of the gate.. the bitter bite blows things out of the water.. citrus and something that I associate with more tropical hops.... maybe some melon... but the flavor pretty much drops into the bitterness and trails on forever... some dry toasty malt presence shows on the finish with shelf warmth.

Bitter --- hoppy --- bitter again ... seems thin with malts ... definitely one dimensional... A decent PNW IPA, but loses all the intricacies...

I doubt I will buy this one again... odd and not that good... and certainly not very enjoyable.

Poured from a bottle into a tumbler pint, the beer is a deep, vibrant, copper-amber coloring with a frothy, foamy, off-white head that has very clingy, decent retention. Aromas are subtle, with a toffee backbone and dry, grassy hops throughout. Flavors are rich and fruity, with a cocktail blending of pineapple, mango, and melon. Hops are subtle, with a light, spiced, and grassy profile to them. Some slight orange and lemon characteristics come through at the end of the palate. The aftertaste is more tangy sweet from the fruit characteristics, with a slight resiny feel from the hops. The finish is slightly cloying, with a md-linger. Interesting twist on an IPA.

A - Copper colored, modest head. Cloudy with lots of activity.

S - Candied sugar, some fruit

T - Sweet caramal malts up front, with some bittering, quick finish. Lacking in depth and hop punch I come to expect in an American IPA

M - Creamy smooth and clean

While refreshing, too sweet for me. I prefer their pale ale.

Pours a slight hazy copper color with a big foamy 2 finger tan head that faded very slowly and was full of bubbles, leaving excellent lacing clinging to the sides, and rings as it went down.

Smells of hops up front, with citrus hops, grapefruit, orange peel, guava, floral hops, sweet malt, caramel, piney hops, lightly roasted grains, spices like pepper, brown sugar and coriander; very hoppy, sweet and fruity, the hops are strong but the grains add very nice balance.

Tastes like citrus hops, grapefruit, orange peel, guava, herbs, floral hops, flowers, sweet malt, caramel, roasted grains, crackers, wheat bread or biscuit, mild yeast, spices like pepper, brown sugar and coriander, and a hint of alcohol. Not a hop-bomb, but still a solid IPA.

Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, with a medium body, a chewy feel, mild carbonation and it has a slightly bitter finish that gives a little citrus pucker.

A good beer overall that was refreshing and easy to drink, but may have been just a little disappointing after having the Widmer Brothers Nelson Imperial IPA just a few weeks ago as that beer was amazing. All in all it’s a good beer, one which I recommend trying if you like IPA’s.
