Omission Lager pours to a yellowish color with a slight head of foam comprised of larger bubbles. It looks okay at first, but sinks to a thin coating in a short time. The nose on this beer is one of lightly spiced hops and sweet pale malt.

As for the taste, this beer is mild, but likable. The dominant flavors are cereal grains, honey, herbal and grassy hops, and some basic fruit in the middle- namely some mild lemon and faint apple. The beer is crisp, clean, and easy drinking. The body of the beer is light and it seems very easy- going overall.

This beer prizes itself for being brewed gluten free. It uses a special process to remove the gluten and by doing so, the beer is free from an ingredient that some people cannot consume, and that makes it a beer that most anyone can consume. It is a decent effort from Widmer- certainly nothing amazing, but not bad overall.

12 oz bottle dated (bottled on?) Feb. 2014 served in a lager glass.
Has the pale appearance of a light lager.
The aroma is pleasant, mainly bready grains, and surprisingly strong,
The flavor does not quite keep up, being weaker and a little less appealing. Still, it is clean and bready.

O: OK but not worth seeking out.

A nice sized medium white head settles into a very thin lacing above a clear straw golden colored beer.

Light aroma of grains to sweet malt with a little bit of sourness also coming through, might be yeast or light hops.

A very light sweet grain malt taste with more sourness sneaking in there maybe also from sour mash grains or however they cook up this stuff.

This light bodied beer finishes with a light dry aftertaste.

A quite easy beer to forget, very similar to any number of light American lager beers.

Widmer Brothers makes a great hefeweizen. As far as Omission is concerned, they could do better. Its an incredibly light flavor, even for a lager and its a little bit in the sweet side of things. There's a hint of hoppiness to it though. It's almost as if they had an idea for a pale ale and decided to turn it into a lager. Would I order this again? Probably not. Would I say no to someone who would like to offer me one? Nope.
This beer is drinkable, but not impressive.

A - light, pale, yellow with a thin, short-lived, white head

S - sweet sorghum

T - sweet, bread, faint fruit, faint hops

M - light bodied, well carbonated, a bit thin

This has a lot of the signature gluten free characteristics. It's sweet and a bit fruity with a very little if any hop character. It's also a bit thin and very light bodied. I'll pass on this one in the future.

Poured into a pint glass. Clear, golden color with two fingers of head.
Faint smell of dry grain.
Mild bitter taste, slightly metallic, watery overall.
Crisp and light body, low to moderate carbonation.
For a light, gluten-free lager I applaud the result. By all appearances it is a superior product to most other light lagers, but it still doesn't make me want another one.

Poured a dull clear yellow with almost no head to speak off, just a light white ring.

The smell is a touch grassy with a bit of lemon, very light.

Has a light grainy flavor with a bit of grassy mildly bitter hop finish.

The mouthfeel is water thin with a smidge of carbonation.

They did a good job of making a gluten free version of the a typical bad American light beer, but otherwise nothing to see here.
