Bought at Specs in Austin. Poured into a Sam Adams perfect pint.

A - Crystal clear orange color. Two fingers of light head that stick around as long as the nucleation point would allow. Decent lacing.

S - Floral hops, although they're pretty weak. I can't put my finger on the malts.

T/M - Tastes similar to an APA, but with just a little something missing (or dare I say, Omitted?).

O - Not bad for gluten free, but I would never search this out.

Not sure why this wound up in a recent mixed six.

Dark saturated orange, compact layer of soapy foam that remains for a good while. Some nice lacing around the edges, copious trails of rising carbonation.

Aromas of mild dried orange peel, some sweetness.

Tastes a bit dull but like a pale ale, some hoppy bitterness and bread yeast flavors, a little bit slick in feel. Dull with no bite, slight bitterness again in the finish. Overall passable if you're on a gluten-free diet, but sorely lacking as a Pale Ale.

Thanks to my buddy Mike for this!

Appearance. Pours a clear gold amber with a finger of off white head that fades pretty fast.

Smell. Sweet malts, toffee, orange juice.

Taste. Oranges, sweet malts, some earthy hops and toffee.

Mouthfeel. Below medium body. below medium carbonation.

Overall. Not a great pale ale but pretty decent as a gluten free beer. A good choice if you have the rich white person disease.

Clear amber colored ale with a small white colored head. Pretty standard looks.

Smells of northwestern style American hops with a curious strong mint scent., Malty and woody with a mild caramel scent to the malt. Mild tea aroma. I smell a normal pale ale.

Starts out mildly malty with a caramel flavor and a mild bitterness in the finish. Woody with a tea flavor and a mild grapefruit flavor. Gets more bitter as you drink it. Pretty average ale.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a pretty standard pale ale that doesn't taste like a gluten free beer. If you are forced to give up gluten this could be the beer for you.

Bottle pour at the BevMo Holiday Beerfest held at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, fruit, and a slight hop aroma. Taste is much the same with a mild bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty average beer that really isn't a good example of the style.

12 oz single from Trader Joes ,Salem OR. $1.17 Nice clear golden ale with a good sized frothy white head. Aroma mostly floral/grassy hop sweet shortbread malt aromas. Taste is a combination of the sweet malt and floral hop its OK but missing a whole lot of substance ( i guess gluten is good for something) Its not bad and rather drinkable yet pretty uninspired. But had i celiacs disease this would be nice.

A: Pours a clear copper color with a decent head that fades to some lacing.

S: Mild aroma of malt sweetness some citrus and and spice.

T: Fairly mild flavor of malt sweetness and some citrus. Muted bitterness and a clean finish.

F: Fairly medium body, smooth and clean. Seems to be lacking something, not bad but seems to be bland.

D: Decent drinker, not bad for the type of beer that it is.

12oz bottle, pours amber in color with a frothy, off-white head, good head retention and nice chunky lacing on the glass. Aromas are earthy, piny, bready malt, bread crust, faint citrus, orange perhaps. Tastes are bready, earthy, pungent, piny hop, caramel, grain, some citrus comes through, balance seems off though. Medium bodied, has a nice resiny feel. Overall, not bad, but seems like it's missing something & balance seems to be off - maybe it's the flavors. I was hoping for better.

Nice amber color with a fair head. I do see some sediment, though, so points off there. Lacing is present, but thin.

Nose is mild, and what aroma I do get I hesitate to mention...cat urine. Not good.

Taste fares much better. I get plenty of hops, but with an odd malt profile. I can't put my finger on it.

Decent for a light, session-worthy pale ale, but not one I'd return to given the other choices on the market.

Pours a pretty clear amber with a fairly thick and fluffy, if not too persistent, off-white head. Aroma is not strong, but invites with malty and fruity notes. Malty flavor has a strong woody hoppy note and a fruity undertone, just a little sweetness. Smooth texture has average thickness and little fizz. For a gluten free beer, not too bad.

Pours a nice amber or golden brownish glow. Features a nice creamy white large head that leads to a disorganized thick lacing. Nose is slight. Some sweet citrusy notes. Taste is of a quality standard pale with some citrus and nice malt. No flavor really comes to the fore. Apparently they can't call it gluten free. I' d like to see what my gluten friends think about it. I also worry about what they have to do to get the gluten out. Chemicals?

If glut people can actually drink this, it's got to taste better than the glut free brews.

A - Pours with inef finger of white foam on top of a hazy, golden brown body, the head settles quickly and leaves only Light lace,

S - A light, malty aroma with a touch of spicy hops.

T - Some toffee and caramel with a bit of brown sugar in the middle. Finishes with a hint of herbal hops and light bittness.

M - Medium thick body, moderate carbonation, and a sweet finish.

D - The malt character succeeds in covering up the lack of gluten but it tastes a bit muddy. What is harder to get around is the lack of fresh hop character, which is subtle at best. This could have been something pretty nice if they had just tried a little with the hops and allowed them to make up for the lack of malt depth.

Served from a bottle into a pint glass

A: Deep coppery orange with moderate head and virtually no lacing

S: Nothing much of note. Some bready yeast and a little ripe fruit, but not much on the nose at all.

T: A surprisingly rich, drinkable brew. Enough hops to cut through the substantial malt. A bit of sweetness up front, quickly subdued by the hops.

M: Crisp and refreshing. Doesn't linger for long, but does sparkle a bit.

O: Not sure if this is a beer that ages surprisingly well, or if I was just in the mood for it tonight, but I thoroughly enjoyed this bottle after being pretty unimpressed with the the lack of flavor presented by first two I drank several weeks ago. I don't know as I'd actively seek this out, as there are many pale ales I enjoy more, but if you have gluten issues, this would be a great option. Light enough to serve as a session beer, but with enough flavor to enjoy every glass.

12 oz to a glass

A- pours a pretty light chestnut red with a fluffy 1 finger white head

S- grainy, some sweet caramel malts, metalic, faint lemon

T- lemon citrus, caramel, slight toffee, pennies, a touch of bitter on the end

M- Light to medium bodied, not a whole lot of body, but suprisingly more than i wouldve guessed. Light carbonation, very easy to drink.

O- my first gluten free beer, its very drinkable, not the most flavorful beer, not going to wow you, but its not bad.
