330 ml bottle into lager glass, best before 2/22/2015. Pours crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, rice, white bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Solid aromas with well balanced pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of cracker, rice, white bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, rice, bread, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness after the finish; and very clean lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and clean mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very solid pale lager style. All around good balance and solid robustness of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

Golden-clear with a sweet-bland nose. Nice head. The beer itself is perhaps my favorite I've had in Thailand-- soft, malty, but pleasant and genuinely MALTy instead of just grain sugar. Very few off flavors. Instead it's just a bittersweet wags that sits quite heavy on tongue. Would drink again.

Poured from a green 11.2 oz. bottle. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is grassy, grains, a touch of skunk. Taste is crisp, grains, some malts, flavorful and highly refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a great beer on a hot day, or sitting in my hot room in central FL.

Light golden color with a thin thick head with medium retention.
Traditional aroma of mass adjunct lagers with notes of adjuncts, lemons and mild bread.
Flavor with predominant notes of sulfur, minerals, booze, lemon, sour rice, cooked tea leaves, some flower and grass. Bad notes linger in the aftertaste.
Watery body with good carbonation. Alcohol of 5% is felt given its low body.
I cannot say this is a pleasant beer, not even on a Thai island. Bad aroma and awful taste. Stay away.

Poured from 11.2 oz bottle into pint glass.

Appearance: pours a thick, sudsy white head that recedes rapidly with little or no lacing. Color is a clear light golden with moderate streaming carbonation.

Aroma: smell is exactly like a Euro lager. Dominate grassy and pungent hops with some bread dough and yeast.

Mouthfeel: very light and crisp with a dry finish.

Flavor: pleasant bready malt and grassy hops, a slight citrus rind in the finish.

Overall: a well made and enjoyable lager.

A 330ml green glass bottle with a BB of May 2014. Picked up a little while back from a bargain store - bit of a random find. The label claims that Thai jasmine rice is included in the grist.

Poured into a stemmed pilsner glass. A clear golden-yellow colour with low carbonation. Forms a decent head of frothy white foam that lasts for a minute or so before dissipating. Aroma of cooked grain, faint malt and a whisper of stewed leaves. Vaguely sweet and exceptionally bland.

Tastes of ultra-light malt with a harsh, metallic finish. Notes of weak malt, faint cooked grain and acrid stewed leaves. A twinge of unpleasant solvent in the background, followed by a harsh, dry bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, with prickly carbonation and little body to speak of. Slightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of harsh leaves and a nasty metallic twang. Not good.

Blech! Nasty stuff. Looks uninspiring, while the aroma is weak and the flavour is horrid. Body like fizzy water. Simply vile; even a nice pilsner glass couldn't do anything for it. Give this one a miss.
