Oh man, the last link of the Père abbés, although not the best one, certainly follows the pattern of what has been a 'revelation' in beer for me (and might as well be for most: this appears to be overlooked at normal marketplaces in belgium and I seem to be the only one trying and drinking it perpetually, as one of my fav's.).

Dark brown/red with a prominent, uneven tan/borderline brown head which fades within 5 mins leaving only a ring around and slight lacing. Very spicy and fruity aromas, much as its very complex and spicy taste that allows a slight part of alcohol to be felt beyond this. Slightly bitter at the end, slightly carbonated, medium to full body. Great.
