330ml bottle

A- Pale and very hazy yellow, quite bright somehow though. Very huge and splendid head: fluffy, perfectly white, great retention and an awesome amount of lacing on the glass

S- Not very impressed, the aroma was quite subdued. Pretty much the classic light citrus character (mostly lemon, along with maybe some orange)

T- A very light bready character from the wheat malts as typical with witbiers, but sure more underlined flavours than in many others. A quite strong lemon flavour is well matched by the malts sweetness. A clear hint of coriander, bringing a very delicate spicy feel, can be felt. Herbal notes in the back of the mouth, very sweet aftertaste

M- The beer has a light body and brings a lot of freshness without feeling watered down, thanks to good carbonation and to an incredibly soft feel on both tongue and palate: the mouthfeel is sure appropriate for the style. The aftertaste though is really too sweet and gets annoying after some time

O- A very good match between between drinkability, freshness and taste complexity. Still a bit too sweet in my opinion, maybe even for the style

One of my favourite beers of all times.
First drank it on tap in Milanese beer pub "La Ratera" then recently found it bottled in Frnce and Italy.
La Blanche de Namur draws a very pale muddy yellowish-whiteish beer with a moderate yet long-standing compact head.
The smell is invitingly fruity and fresh, summoning aromas of banana and orange.
The taste is an exhilrating refreshing triumph of fruitiness which plounges you into a world of fruity sensations encompassing peach banana and orange inspirations and leaves you there pleasantly befuddled and adoring as it slowly fades away. It's the sort of taste whereby your glass is empty before you even realise it.
I recommend drinking this beer alone or eating only faint-tasted food in order to avoid polluting the rafinate cocktail of aromas the brewers have achieved to create.

330ml squat bottle - nice to see the maker of the Waterloo brews back on Alberta store shelves.

This beer pours a cloudy, very pale golden straw colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, frothy, and silken melted white marshmallow head, which leaves some remote island group lace around the glass as it slowly ebbs away.

It smells of semi-sweet, grainy wheat malt, sharp coriander, spiced orange zest, dry black licorice, soft, ethereally funky yeast, muddled drupe fruit, and a further floral perfume character - strange, that, for such a low-ABV brew. The taste is mildly sugary wheat cereal, neutered coriander, candied orange peel, faint anise notes, and more floral, leafy hops, moving away from their initial perfumed nature.

The bubbles are dense, a tad prickly, but mostly just straight-up frothy, the body an adequate medium weight for the style, and generally smooth, the inherent yeast copping a small feel. It finishes off-dry, the citrus fruitiness still dancing with the lingering dry wheat crackers, and now thoroughly blended spices and spiciness.

Bang-on for the style, the wheat, fruit, spice, and yeast all in harmony, it would seem. Tasty, and very summery, for a June day where it looks to be anything but. An easy-drinking, fresh witbier, is all there is to it.
