This dive-ish pub down in Fells Point is a great place to relax and blend-in on a lazy afternoon. There's a long history behind this place and its name.

Beer selection is good- over a dozen taps of craft beer... ranging from dometic to imported (Belgian, English, etc.). Bottle selection isn't bad either. All beer tastes reasonably fresh... but appropriate glassware seems to be a pint glass here... no matter what beer you get.

Food is good here... just had some nice Blue Point oysters there the other day... and unlimited peanuts (in the shell) is a plus!

Service has always been good there... granted, I consistently visit during off-peak hours.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone doing an extended stay in Baltimore.

Dudas's Tavern is a well-known Fells Point watering hole that truly defies any attempt at a definitive describtion; however, the words dive bar, sports bar, rec room, garage and grandfater's basement come to mind - or can serve as an adequate introduction.

In any case, Dudas', which sits directly across the former site of DuClaw's Brewing Company (see my review), offers a decent selection of local micros to go along along with very good wings. An atmospheric tavern for locals where everyone might not know your name, but will still provide a warm welcome.

And of course ... no Fells Point pubcrawl could be complete without a stop at Dudas' Tavern.

Stopped at this bar after a long day hanging around downtown Baltimore. Its kinda small but had a decent choice of local beers. A few tables and did not have to wait too long for our food to come out. Mussels and shrimp were good and priced allright. Drank some Heavy Seas Winter Storm on tap went really well with the food. I was able to really enjoy some good company and carry on normal conversations as the bar was not packed. When visiting Baltimore again i will visit this place again and reccommeded this place to my friends to stop in and have a few cold ones and a decent bite to eat.

Had occasion to drop by this venerable Baltimore watering hole the other day.

Duda's is a smallish bar/tavern, consisting almost entirely of a long bar running along the right side of the room. There are a few tables and chairs as well, but this really is a small, cozy pub. The atmospere is nothing particularly special, but for all that it has a comfortable vibe, the sort of place you wouldn't mind hanging out for a few hours, watching the O's lose again on TV (they have two smallish flat screen TV's at either end of the bar). Quality is a bit above average for a Fells Point drinking establishment. There is the usual Guinness, Bass, Smithwicks, Stella, resurrection and Yuengling, but the other day they also had on some interesting looking Oktoberfest beers as well. Looks like they typically have on around 15 or 16 tap handles.

Service was fine for what it was. The young bartender seemed to be the only one in the establishment, and while distracted, I didn't have to wait long to get service. Didn't try the food, though they do have complimentary pretzels at the bar.

Duda's is nothing special or fancy, but it's a comfortable, low key bar that I wouldn't hesitate to visit again some time.

Dudas used to be a must stop beer bar in Fells. You'd never know what the stash of bottles or the selection on tap might bring. Those days are mostly over. Though you may find a handful of good brews on tap or bottle, there are places in the area that just do it better.

Has a cleaned up dive scene with plastic tables and chairs outside. Atmosphere is very nice, but loses points because it just has this wet dog smell that drives me nuts. It isn't front in center onthe olfactories, but it is there.

Food is very well done pub grub. The chili bake is a must have in the fall and winter. The other stuff isn't bad, and they have free pretzels at the bar--the thick, sourdough ones, not the scrappy tiny ones.

Stopped in for quick local Mid-Atlantic beer before hitting DuClaw's across the street. Sad to say they only had Clipper City Gold available. The bar was small, but upscale. All others at the bar were drinking wine or mixed drinks. Bartender was friendly but clearly this place didn't have what I was looking for - local Maryland beers.

Don't bother stopping here unless you are eating dinner or want an easily findable Maryland beer. I suggest you across the street to DuClaw's for good local Maryland beer or walk up a few blocks to Max's to get Brewer's Art or Oliver's beers.
