Presentation: 12oz green euro-style bottle with no freshness date.
Appearance: Crystal clear straw yellow in colour with a minimal lace on top that seems to dissipate quickly.
Smell: Trademark aroma of sulphur and grain with a pinch of skunk.
Taste: More crisp than smooth with an up front grain / husk flavour that is intermingled with a slightly twangy hop bitterness coupled by hints of sulphur and DMS (cooked veggies). There is an underlying malt sweetness in the middle yet fades quickly as soon as the finish kicks in with its dryness.
Notes: Not a bad imported lager ... one of the top selling imports in the USA also. Though with a wide selection of Dutch lagers in the US now which are comparable if not better for a cheaper price. We have seen Heineken range from $18-$24 a case!

Poured into a shaker pint glass.
Look: Clear golden body, white head that recedes to a film that stays. No lacing.
Aroma: Cereal grains and a strange Tootsie Roll note? Weird.
Taste: Smooth malts and cereal grains, then a funky tasting body. Must be the adjuncts. Sour finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, creamy.
Overall: This was from a 24 oz. can, so the typical skunk taste was absent. However, there was a fair share of Tootsie Roll aroma and maybe even taste. Perhaps my palate was wrecked, I don't know.
