i really dont think this beer needs any more reviews. what can i say that hasnt been said in one of the nearly 400 previous evaluations? how 'bout, i like the green can with the black and white label (i bet somebody has said that!)
looks very average, pale golden, moderately fizzy, big head sticks around for a minute.
smells faint. loses some points for not having much to sniff. what i can pick up is normal pale lager beer scent.
tastes better than its overall score would lead you to believe. its really not bad, this beats bud and miller in every category, although thats not saying much. it's light and inoffensive, not great but not disgusting.
i give heinney extra points because i think it is a good beer for this category, drinkable.

22 ounce bottle served very cold in a large glass.
A - Pours a pale yellow with a short head that gives way to steady lacing.
S - Some grains and hops.
T - Grains with good hop bitterness.
M - Moderate carbonation and a neutral feel and finish.
O - A typical Euro Lager - nothing great but not bad.

I would just like to add an update and mention that I strongly agree with FrozenJoe's assessment of Heineken in a can. The canned version is MUCH better than the bottle for some reason.
Presentation: The usual green bottle with a nice pour into a pilsner glass. Looks refreshing.
Appearance - A clear yellow color with significant carbonation, poured with a nice 10 mm head that remained throughout. Excellent lacing around the glass. Quite nice.
Smell - Some grass with hints of citrus. Non-metallic. Clean. Smells like Heineken!
Taste - Towards the dry side with less malt than hops... but a decent balance. The aftertaste is clean and refreshing. No complaints.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and pleasant but dry. Almost sort of acidic. The can version tastes a bit sweeter.
Overall - Not too bad! I used to buy these in Las Vegas for 50 cents a pop and don't mind having one every once in a while. Nothing extraordinary but wouldn't pass one one up if offered to me either. They keep raising the price for a six though which causes me to only take a brief glance at it in the case then pass it by. Drinking the can version seems to be betyter than the bottle. It is much smoother and easy on the palate. Enjoy!
