Pours out to a frothy white head that falls to a thin film. Golden clear color. Aroma is typical euro-lager with just a touch of that strange NA whang. Flavor is weakened Heineken, with a grainy front, sweet middle and dry, seltzery finish. Overall a decent NA brew that is close to the real thing.

A. Easy poor little then no head. Light carbonation. Color is yellow.
S. Malt, rice? and Heineken
T. Same as Heineken but a little light and without the sausage, with an aftertaste of saltine crackers. That’s weird.
M. Crisp, watery, and refreshing.
O. One of the better NA beers I have ever had. I’m surprisingly impressed. I recommend giving it a try, just remember not to discriminate because it’s an NA.

My first non-alcohol beer. Lets see what this is like.

Appearance (2.25) : Elmer's glue white head, fluffy and artificial. Pale yellow body with lots of bubbles. Better than I expected for a non-alcohol beer.

Smell (1.5) : So is this what N/A beers are supposed to smell like?? I hope not. Cooked smashed peas, dirty squash, some fermented fruit. Old corn. Just rancid. Smells just like my elementary school lunch room did. Really...? An extra half point for the memory.

Taste (1.25) : If you like beer, but you want to ditch the alcohol, please avoid this beer at all costs. The taste is even worse than the smell, which I'm sure was impossible. Want to know what you're in for, non-alcoholic beer drinking floozie? Rotted corn. A blenderfull of mashed, cooked peas and carrots, army style. A dry bitterness that is not unlike walking into a funeral home. The cooked carrot note is overwhelming most everything. Do not drink this beer. Please, I beg you.

Mouthfeel (1.25) : Loud carbonation upfront that quickly turns into a stiff carcass staleness. Just...wrong.

Overall (1.39) : Stay away, unless you hate yourself. Drink a sprite instead.

Twelve ounce bottle.

A: Pours a clear pale yellow under a solid one-finger thick frothy white head which fades to a thin cap and leaves puzzle lace.

N: Corn (?), yeasty bread, faintly floral, grassy, faint lemony citrus, hay.

T: Thin, wheaty bread, slightly sweet malts, mild fruity yeast.

M: Light body and medium carbonation. Crisp and clean finish.

O: For the style, this is acceptable and a good starter beer.

Buckler has a thick, frothy, off-white head, a clear, somewhat bubbly, yellow-gold appearance, and pretty heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is of pungent, sweet, biscuit, and some grass, and the flavor is of sweet grain, biscuit, and grassy bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium and a touch slick, and Buckler finishes fairly crisp, tasty, and easy drinking. Yes, it does have a bit of that "something missing" aspect that one gets from non-alcohol brews, but this one tastes more like beer than any I’ve tried, so far. I like it!
