Highland Jack Daniels Barrel Aged Cold Mountain served at the 2013 Hotoberfest. Pours dark reddish-brown; nearly as dark as a porter. Light haze.
Small, weak head leaves some lacing and a lasting thin ring.
Feel is rather thin, with low but adequate carbonation (cask). Light body is very smooth. The smoothness, and the BB flavoring and aromatics distinguish this from the normal version, which I had again a couple of weeks ago and which I think I like better. There is also a touch of sour I don't remember in the standard version. Still, nice low ABV warmer.

Another great beer from Highland! Had this beer in Salisbury, NC at The Salty Caper. Beautiful color, nice 1/2" head and very tasty. Not sure I would classify this as a "winter warmer". A bit lighter but very flavorful. Delicious. God bless Carolina!
