On tap at The Distillery.
Poured a nice dark/near black color with a little head.
Smell was pretty par for the course. Little bit of a coffee and oatmeal.
I didn't find the taste to be as big as I was expecting. Really light and coffee-ish. The lingering aftertaste was definitely the highlight, though. I liked that more than the actual drink. :x
Light and easy in the mouth.
Easily drinkable for me because it was easy to go down without such a big taste. Although because of this, I'm not too quick to pick it back up. I like a bolder flavor in my dark beers.

Pours a dark black-brown with a huge creamy tan head that rockily settles from four fingers to two. Excellent retention; spotty lacing.
Sweet and malty. Molasses, dark fruit, licorice, nuts, vague herbal hops.
Soft and smooth. Very nutty with some strong, quick bitterness on the finish. Nuts, bitter chocolate, Coke, coffee. Simple, but good.
Medium bodied with some carbonation and a velvety feel on the whole. Very drinkable, and smooth (the oatmeal, methinks).
Very nice porter.
The beer pours really nice, with a sturdy head and lots of it. It has a pretty subtle nose, but it does carry pleasant nutty and roasty aromas. The beer tastes really good and is all-in-all a very straightforward, tasty, drinkable beer.
Would have again; worth trying if you are around where it is brewed.

Oatmeal stouts and porters are my favourite beer styles so my reviews of these tend to be a little biased. This particular Oatmeal Porter has a beautiful black color and a small head as it should. Smells of coffee, grains, and a little chocolate. The taste is fantastic. I am a huge fan of Highland. This Oatmeal porter is delicious and I would highly recommend it to those who love dark, strong beer.
