A porter brewed with salt and raisins, fermented with Belgian yeast and aged on dried cherries, almonds and cacao nibs
Appearance: The fudge brown liquid arrives with a small head that leaves just a bit of lacing behind
Smell: Chocolate, spices, dried cherries, raisins and almonds
Taste: Like the aroma, the chocolate and spices lay the foundation, with the dried fruit and almonds building in the middle; maple flavor adds a sweeter dimension, after the swallow
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with low carbonation
Overall: Lots of interesting things going on with this beer - think Porter, Winter Warmer and throw in some Belgian yeast - wow!
