A-Pours a light golden-amber w/just a touch of haze, dense off-white head w/decent retention and gorgeous sticky lace.
S-Bits of malt, pear & apricot, spice, Belgian yeast, and a touch of funk and autumnal earth.
T-Slightly sweet dough w/fruit upfront, and a dry spicy finish. Bit of warm alcohol in the aftertaste on the back of the tongue.
M-Sweet/dry balance is decent, body is lighter-to-medium, carbonation is moderate, but the metallic edge in the finish and aftertaste throw it off a bit.
D-Decent brew, easy to drink.

Cheap and cheerful. Nothing wrong about it, but not complex. Quite enjoyable. Cheers

De color amarillo, con un dedo de espuma de baja retención. Cuerpo ligero y baja carbonatación. Aroma afrutado y a pan. Sabor entre dulce y amargo bastante agradable.

The beer pours a copper-tinged gold with a this white cap. Aroma is light fruits, sweet malt, must and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is very musty with yeast, tart fruits, and some burnt wood. Quite enjoyable.

Pours clear, with weak head. Smells and tastes of toffee and caramel. Sweet without being cloying. Smooth mouthfeel with mildly sweet-citrus after-taste. Similar to Affligem, but less sugary on the tongue. Lower carbonation suits the flavor, but is a bit disappointing as the glass progresses. As another reviewer says, "dangerously drinkable" for an 8.5% ABV!

From Alcampo. Ik Teku glass. Watching Sons of Anarchy 6x03-04. Reminds me a saison but more alcoholic. However, that doesnt spoil it but maybe even improves it. Its dangerously drinkable. Herbal

Yummy! Tastes of malt and toffee with an abrupt, dry finish. Tiny oil slick head on golden/amber body. Aroma has same notes as taste, but lighter. Taste come on full strength at first sip. This is really lovely.

A supermarket bière de garde. This strong ale is quite cloying with a big residual sweetness. Quite estery the beer is driven by the malt and the yeast, low hop presence

March 2013 bottling. Lite auburn pour with off white head. Funky and boozy black fruit aromas. Barleywines overtures. Black cherry and funky sweet candy flavors. Medium lite mouthfeel with great funky tongue coating. Different and excellent. The ale has aged nicely into a weak sherry like state.
