Located on RT 3A in Cohasset, this is very easy to find. The store is in a mini shopping plaza with a bunch of other stores.

This is one large package store with a serious selection of wine and liquor. As you walk in there are a bunch of cases and 30 packs on display. The vibe has that somewhat run down package store feel that is so commonplace. The coolers of beer are in the back of the store. Singles, 40 ozs and bombers start on your left and as you walk to the right are the six packs. It was nice to see bombers of Harpoon 100 Barrel Series and Rogue. I also noticed a 750 ML of Allagash White Ale. Solid 6 pack selection, but nothing over the top. Some highlights were Magic Hat, Harpoon, Sam Adams, Anchor, Rogue and Long Trail.

There are a few shelves in front of the coolers dedicated to some interesting six packs (Dogfish Head & Lagunitas), four packs, bombers, etc. Bombers of Rogue American Amber Ale, Dead Guy Ale and Morimoto Hazelnut Signature Ale caught my eye. There is also a great selection of Samuel Smith's too. I also have to give credit to the six packs of Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. This is always nice to see in the winter.

Quality appears about average. Doesn't look like stock rotation is a major priority at this place. Lots of dust on the bottles. Also noticed a six pack of Allagash Summer Ale. Service interaction was minimal, but friendly.

This place is worth checking out if in the area. A better than average selection of quality beers.

I stop here often as it's not too far from where I do a lot of trail running so this is more of a general review.

Curtis is your average Boston suburb liquor store. True, they have a large selection but much of that selection has been sitting on the shelves for years. Always check for dates as a lot of the beer is expired--and beware of sales! They have a cooler up front with growlers from Berkshire that I swear have been there for at least 2 years.

The staff never seems to greet me or be in anyway personable--which is fine, this is MA afterall. But I've been in there while they were talking loudly between aisles about how stupid their customers are. While they weren't referring to me specifically (I hope) it just looks bad.

The best thing about Curtis is that every once and awhile they put something on sale with a high enough abv that it doesn't matter how long it's been on the shelf.

The beer selection here has been steadily improving.
When one first enters it appears this is just another warehouse of macro cases. On closer examination one will find half an aisle and part of another aisle with a deceptively good selection.
If you are looking for Belgians and Belgian syles this is about as good as it gets on the South Shore. All the usual names are here: Goudens, Corsendonk, Westmalle, Orval, etc, Allagash, Unibroue, Ommegang, etc.
The non -Belgian selection is pretty good. A decent array of US breweries is present: Stones, Southhampton, Geary's, Avery, and a small host of others. Very good seasonal choices are on hand.
Quite a few non-macros are chilled in the back.
The gentleman in charge of the beer is well-informed, cares about his stock, and likes to talk beer
The store also has prettiy extensive wine selection.

Stopped in on the fourth to pick up brew for fishing and later for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of Curtis in Cohasset. Probably the only real beer store in the town. Beer is located in the back of the store, but they also seem to have a satellite beer fridge at the front left of the store. Mostly in this fridge were bombers and 750mL of various craft brews from New England and other places. Included were Brooklyn 1, Middle Ages, Rock Art, Berkshire, Atlantic, etc.

Pretty darn large selection of six packs with all the locals represented and a healthy selection of others too. Nothing that I was surprised to see on the shelves, but then again the selection is so large it's almost hard to choose what you really want. They seem to carry almost every style for every available brewery distributed in Mass. German, Belgian, and English selection could improve a bit. Four different Cantillon's caught my eye, but their price tag was a tad high and not the style I was looking for at that moment.

Staff wasn't attentive at all, but that didn't really matter as I knew what I was there for, and it was a holiday. Clean, but I wouldn't eat off the floor. The summer selections were out making me believe that they do rotate. I also didn't see any older bottles or gems. My only criticism of this place is the low number of craft six packs that are cold. I'd like to walk in and grab something cold to enjoy ten minutes later--you'll be hard pressed to do that here. Only macros in the fridges. Good store with decent prices. The areas best I believe.

A good store if you are in the area, but compared to the Weymouth store, this one lacks where the other one shines. The selection here is pretty good, but a lot of bottles were dusty. A good selection of bombers and 6-packs of some really good stuff. The import selection isn't as good as Weymouth's, but the US micro selection is about the same. A good sized store with some really friendly people working who had a good general knowledge of all the beer and liquor.

They don't allow the breaking of 6-packs or any out-of-state ID's, so be aware of those two things before you go. If you find yourself exploring the gorgeous coastline around Cohasset, Hingham, and Scituate, you should stop by.

Here's a packie that seemed to play poor cousin to the Curtis in Weymouth. A few years ago, the Weymouth store had a vast selection and the staff paid some attention to the better beer shoppers. A few of us suspected that the beers that collected dust and lived beyond their prime in Weymouth were shipped off to Cohasset. Well the times have changed and I'm glad to report that the poor cousin has gained in stature, and actually vies for the recognition of its cousin in Weymouth. The selection is now outstanding! You can find enough quality brews to get you through the week with enough variety to keep your palette satisfied. Stone, Rogue, Ommegang, SA, Harpoon, Samuel Smith's, Anchor, Magic Hat, Shipyard, among others are well represented. Selections of English, Belgian, Asian and German beer are also usually available.

Edit 8/23/10 - The selection is continually improving once again as the Weymouth store and Cohasset are teaming up on the purchases. The shelving has also been improved, making it easier to locate the good stuff.
