It looks like grapefruit juice, a murky orange-pink. The head is somewhat on the fizzier side but shows a modicum of substance, though its fall is quick and its lacing between minimal and moderate.
It's a little dusty in the nose off fresh ruby red, somewhat acidic but with a certain accompanying sweetness. The malt forming the base is light but noticeable.
More than just a grapefruit soda, the malts give a supporting backbone of dryness and cracker as well as bigger, more robust barley notes, but just enough to let one know they're still drinking a beer with all the fresh sweet/tart/sour grapefruit going on.
With lots of acidity but without being too harsh on the palate, one can't ask for a whole lot more than the light but not shallow body, zest, and crispness this beer brings.

Can: Poured a light yellow color ale with a small bubbly head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit juice with some residual sugar is as far remove to beer as possible. Taste is also dominated by loads of grapefruit notes with some residual sugar notes and some light wheat malt. Body is about average with good carbonation. So much sugar and grapefruit juice that it does not resemble beer anymore but enjoyable on a hot summer day nonetheless.

12 oz. bottle poured into a Burley Oak snifter

A: Pale straw color that is hazy and cloudy.

S: Fruity and tart, smells like a freshly squeezed grapefruit where when you squeeze the pith there is a slight aerosol spray.

T: Nice balance here that is just slightly tipped in favor of a grapefruit tartness. The beer base here is a bit more present, and the fruit here is definitely more of the labeled fruit soda than fruit juice. This is present in the carbonation and lighter flavor of the fruit, compared to those that use straight juice since that is unadulterated unlike fruit sodas.

M: Carbonated with bubbles that aren't very rough, just odd clumsy bubbles that move along the palate.

O: This is excellent and I was surprised to find a six-pack of this. I've been wanting to try this for a while, but even more so after having Sixpoint's RAD.

A: Pours a lightly cloudy straw yellow with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and some light amounts of lemon yellow highlights. The beer has a quarter finger tall fizzy white head that quickly reduces to a small patch of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit (almost like grapefruit juice) are present over the top of very light grainy malts.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of slightly sweet ruby red grapefruit juice without much tanginess. Hints of grainy malts.

M: Light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation.

O: Very similar to a grapefruit soda - super easy to drink and refreshing. I can see why these were originally for cyclist refreshment, it is great on a very hot early summer day here in NC (hottest day of the year so far).
