Appearance is auburn with an off-white head leaving light, sticky lace.

Smell is sugary sweet, orange and tobacco, really leafy, off-putting.

Taste is heavily candied citrus hops, orange marmalade, the malt sugars really amplify it. Modest bitterness. Not as leafy as the taste, but still to raw.

Mouthfeel is oily, medium light bodied.

Drinkability isn't too high, the, flavor profile just isn't working for me. (420 characters)

22 oz bought at JCs Thriftway in Newport OR. $4.99. Under the name of McKenzie Brewing. Pours a slightly darker burnt orange than the usual IPA, with a nice sized, creamy, frothy off white head. Woah great aroma to this one! Great wafts of herbal, floral hops with equally appealing honey caramel malts..really like this! Taste is nice too but quite balanced between the honey malts and hops..very pleasant drinking. Good mouth feel its lowish carbonation and smooth on the tongue. Did not think this would amount to much but this is a really nice PNW style IPA (558 characters)

This was one of three seasonal offerings. It was served in a standard pint. The beer is a hazy burnt orange with a thick cream colored head.

Sweet hops in the nose. 7 varieties of hops add some pine, tangerine and grapefruit.

The beer is hop forward but is balanced by a decent malt bill. I see they use honey and caramel malts and these add balance and caramel undertones. More juicy hops at mid-glass, but the beer never loses its malt core.

It has a slick, oily mouth. It is a tongue coater. In case you can't tell, I really liked this one. Could have been gimmicky with 7 hop varieties, but the brewer has pulled off an enjoyable beer. (649 characters)

Served on tap into a shaker glass.

A- Poured a clear dark orange color with white fluffy head that left webbed lacing.

S- Very light aroma of mild fruity fruity notes and soapy.

T- Dominant flavors are soapy and indistinct fruity notes, light citrus hop notes, and moderate bitterness.

M- Some warming, medium body, pretty dry, and prickly carbonation.

O- A pretty average to mediocre IPA that is overly malty. (416 characters)

Cloudy dark amber colour with a creamy off-white head. Fair head retention.

Light piney hop aroma with a touch of earthy character. Mild but noticeable caramel malts.

Slightly syrupy malt with a piney hop kick. A bit muddy and unfocussed.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. A little syrupy.

Not bad but there's too much maltiness for the hop character. (360 characters)
