A - a clear copper with a tall pillowy off white head that dissipated to random lacing up the glass
S - strong with citrus, grassy, and spicy hop notes, bready malts, and candied fruit
T - strong grapefruit citrus hops, the other hop notes are very light, subtle bready malts
M - low to medium carbonation, somewhat thin, very citrus bitter tartness (too much?) finishing dry
D - the nose suggest a nice hop mix, but the tart citrus and bitter seems to drown everything else out, still a decently drinkable beer, but nothing compared to their Loki Double IPA

Poured on tap into a 10 oz. pilsner glass at Barley Brother's. From notes.

Bit of a dark amber brown body with a slight hazy appearance, and some gold dark apricot hues. Head is quite creamy and almost nitrous looking with one finger presented and lots of lacing while finishing.

Nose has a big mushy fruit sense of tropical and herbal notes. Lots of mushy mango, papaya and soft tropical body. It's a bit odd in a way and not very bright though, almost as if it was over ripe rotten hop fruity sensations coming off.

Palate has more of a malt backbone and toned down hop angle. Very dry airy malt, with washing tropical hop softness on the mid palate. Lots of dense cookie and biscuit sensations more like a thick English Bitter. Mouthfeel continues those notes with a very creamy and chewy English Bitter quality. Aftertaste has limited hop flavors and minor aromas of pine and herbal tea. The tropical notes hit matching the nose on first sips but wash away quite quickly.

Overall it's a well made beer but for an IPA even for English it's lacking some hope presence (which some might say and could be argued it's more to style) a bit, but it's quite decent.

A solid sessional IPA that pours copper orange with some decent off-white foam. Aroma is citrus hops, berries, a bit of sourdough, a touch of caramel. Palate is more impressive than the aroma. Citrus (grapefuit, orange), some sweet caramel malt (but much more subdued than many other IPAs), a lingering bitter like green tea ... In fact, the citrus bitter reminds me a bit of a cup of Earl Gray. Resembles its big brother Loki in being smooth and well-balanced between malt and hops, although I notice some batch to batch variation: At times you get the nice fruity cup of tea and at others there is more harsh bitterness with some pine resin/cannabis notes. Perhaps this is an artifact of my palate. Finish is a bit oily and sweet, pleasant. All in all a very drinkable if mellow beer for hopheads and a good "starter IPA" for your beer friends who need a nudge past macrobrews or wheat ales.

A really great intro IPA. It won;t completely satisfy hopheads, but for someone trying to break into the ever difficult style of IPA, this is a wonderful beer to start with.
It delivers everything you'd want in a classic IPA, but without too much hop bitterness, which might scare away some less than adventerous beer drinkers. It's also one of the more sessional IPA's out there, and Paddock Wood is a brewery that everyone should support and keep thier eye's on.

A - Half finger head, good retention.
S - Pine, sweet, hoppy.
T - Bit watery, some hops up front, but not the expected sweetness.
M - Little carbonation, bit too smooth for an IPA.
O - Admittedly I'm not a big fan of English IPA's compared to the hoppier versions this side of the pond. That said, the lingering aftertaste and feel of this beer were not pleasant.

355ml brown bottle with pry-off cap poured in a pint glass. From a "Big Box o Beer" 12 pack mixer with Red Hammer, Loki and London Porter.

Copper-orange and just a little hazy. Cream coloured head is 1/2 inch on the pour and recedes to a few islands with strings of lace down the sides.

Strong scent of hops in the aroma. Mostly citrus and pine. Grapefruit, lemon and pine with a hint of caramel.

Bold hops off the start. Some malty balance through the middle then back to a bitter hop finish of pine. Citrus, malt and caramel blending smoothly in a long lasting piney hop finish.

Medium bodied with minimal carbonation.

One of my go to beers when I can get it. Not outstanding, but very solid and satisfying.

355ml bottle poured into a pint glass. ABV 5.4%.

A - Poured a slightly hazy gold with orange highlights. 1cm head reduced to surface bubbles. Some lacing.

S - Caramel, pine, grapefruit. Smells like an IPA.

T - Some caramel sweetness and an unbalanced blend of citrus, grapefruit, tobacco and pine. A mild bitterness lingers in the aftertaste.

M - Medium carbonation, medium body, some oiliness, finish is a bit dry.

O - It's alright but there's something unbalanced in this one.

Bottle acquired form the MLCC within a few weeks of its arrival. No freshness date, poured into a Perfect Pint glass after 10 minutes of being removes from the fridge.

A:Pours a nice amber with a fluffy white head that drops to a light cap that leaves only small globs of lacing upon the edges of the glass.
S: Earthy hops with a bit of pine. Sweet caramel malts along with a hint of corn.
T: Dank earthiness to the hops, yet not nearly to my expectations of an IPA. Got bready malt backbone with a hint of sweetness.
M: Fairly strong bitterness that balances very well with the sweetness. Bitterness builds on the tongue. Great feel on the palate though as the even-handed carbonation, bitterness and body make it seem not too thin, yet certainly not too thick for the style.
O: Some stuff to love about this beer, but still not up to my expectations. An English IPA hop profile, but still a little more subdued than I would have liked...
