On tap at Beer Revolution in Calgary, looked interesting as I have liked most of Sherbrooke Liquor's one-of, and Paddock Wood puts out great beers too.
Pours clear, straw yellow in color, inch of bubbly head and nice lacing streaks.
The smell has some sweet toasted malt and a hint of herbal or grassy hops.
Clean, crisp and refreshing taste, malty with a bit of bite. Just enough cleansing bitterness at the end.
It has a medium plus body, light carbonation, leaves a slightly slick mouthfeel.
Overall, this was a clean and easy to drink, seemed pretty good to me.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a stemmed tulip glass

Pours straw in color, clear with a bit of chill haze, 2-3 fingers of bubbly head and nice lacing. The nose is clean with some musty hops and some sweet toasted malt. On the palate, the beer tastes old, light the morning after beer at a frat party with a simple bitter finish. It has a medium plus body and light carbonation making for a heavy, slick mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very weird beer and nowhere near style appropriate on anything other than appearance. Makes one think it is either old or infected, but without any bottling date, it is hard to tell.

A- Poured light copper. Nice creamy head and great lacing throughout.

S- The aroma was nice but had some kick to it, almost liked a spirit when you smell it. obviously from the alcohol content

t - what a tasty pilsner especially on a hot sk summer day. again the alcohol was overwhelming but this was my first imperial pilsner.

m- went down smooth and left a nice after taste in my mouth. coated the inside of my mouth and the alcohol didnt give it the dryness that I was expecting.

Overall- My first imperial pilsner. what I thought it would be. nice, refreshing and a good kick to it.
