Decent start to the head--leaves some spotty lace. Clear, almost like water. Pale yellow color.

Okay, the smell reminds me of pancakes--no syrup, no berries, just plain ordinary pancakes. There's a slight skunkiness to the beer. Slightly sweet, lots of corn. Bland.

So, the blandness continues in the taste. Is it Bud, is it Miller? It could be. Thin bodied and highly carbonated. Where's the hop? The brewer must have waved it over the kettle without letting fall in. If you like corn in your beer, this should serve you well.

(purchased at Binny's Beverage, Marcey St., CHI - no freshness date - poured into a half pint)

A: pale, faded, corn gold color... relatively clear... good bit of white foam forms on the pour, holding longer than expected, leaving a cap riddled with big bubbles

S: sweetish malt with shades of pancake... not all that different from your average mass-produced lager

T: basic pale lager taste with some interesting nuances... no clear cut indication anywhere whether this is all-malt or not, but it sort of tastes like it could be... corn muffin, shortbread flavors, light toasted notes... no hops, minimal balancing bitterness

M: feels like an all-malt lager, a bit fuller than a rice or corn beer... clean, soft, mellow... no bite

O: pretty decent... wouldn't mind drinking a few of these if it was the only thing around

A: Pours from a 12 oz bottle a clear pale yellow with a one-inch thick ivory white which fades to the rim and a thin cap leaving clumpy lace.

N: Barley, malts, grainy, yeast, biscuits, faint lemony citrus.

T: Crisp, slightly skunked corn, malty, earthy and rather bland.

M: Light body and semi-medium carbonation. Semi-dry and clean finish.

O: Just another adjunct lager (JAAL), this time from Africa.

Appearance - Pours a straw gold with a finger of bubbly head that quickly recedes.

Smell - sweet malts, corn adjuncts, grains, apple.

Taste - Pretty much similar to the aromas. A very standard American adjunct.

Mouthfeel - Light to medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Finishes dry and and sweet malts linger.

Overall - A simple easy drinking American adjunct. Nothing really stands out here from other American adjuncts. This brew would be good after doing some yardwork.

Bottle purchased at Beers of the World in Henrietta, NY. First beer drank from Africa!

Pours an effervescent, fizzy, golden yellow, classic adjunct lager look. A big 2.5 inch fizzy head forms.

Doesn't smell like a whole lot, smells like sweet grain, with a bit of corniness, and the slightest bit of grassiness.

Nice little bite up front, a kiss of hops, but the bite mostly comes from the carbonation. Finishes a bit sweet and corny. For an adjunct lager, this isn't half bad, honestly. I'd get it again.

Light bodied, slightly thicker body than typical for the style. High carbonation, very refreshing and drinkable.

I'm surprised at how tasty this was.
