Very good creamy smooth pale lager.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains on the nose; follows onto the palate. Some sweetness on the palate as well. Finishes with a typical lager finish, lightly sweet.

Appearance: Poured with a finger's worth of head that produced marginal lacing and did not retain. The body is a slightly cloudy brass that boasts abundant slow rising carbonation.

Smell: Has a dominant citrus note, but I can't pin down what exactly. Not bitter enough for Grapefruit, not sweet enough for oranges and note sour enough for lemon or lime. Oddly my mind thinks Passionfruit even though it's not citrus. Weird. Either way, the backround has some mixed barley, straw and sweet corn malt, but it's solid.

Taste: Starts with an almost excessively sweet biscuit and corn malt with a sweet wine note to it, that turns to an unremarkable plain barley note that ends has a a citrus snap that reigns in the hop bitterness without killing it.

Mouthfeel: The transitioning is a little rough. The aftertaste is the very basic starting malt taste with a bit of a dry aspect, that doesn't get out of control and the carbonation does well at the start and end of the beer. Enough for good, but not great.

Drinkability: Light bodied, mild to the system, easy to drink, doesn't leave me belching and adequately refreshing so not a lot to complain about here another then a slight dry aspect and being just a little bit too sweet.

Final Thoughts: I honestly did not expect this beer to be as good as it was. This one was not another "tried one Lager tried them all" as there were enough unique aspects to this one that made me appreciate the nuance. Is it worth the cost of importing? Yeah, I'd say just barely,. I'm gonna give it a thumb up, give it a shot.

Sweet edge that does not become pervasive. Citric fruitiness as an underlying flavor that adds a nice character that differentiates Tusker from other lagers. Nothing standout, but enjoyable.

This brew pours with a large three finger fluffy white head which takes some time to dissipate. There is light lacing left on the glass; strong carbonation. The beer is a yellow /orange and when held up to the light a lot of sediment (yeast)? can be seen.

The smell is crisp, clean and tangy, maybe some orange and/or lemon zest in there.

The taste follows the nose with a clean, crisp lager taste followed by some lemon peel and orange. The finish is a little dry.

Overall there is nothing amazing going on with this lager, it is not the worst adjunct lager I have tasted but it is not the best either. I would drink it again but I will not go looking for it.
